Clarification wasn't there when I posted. Seems Solomon is not the only annoyng idiot media member in town.

However, it's more fun to think of him asking the same questions over and over all by himself, so that's what I will continue to believe despite Feigen's clarification.

They should send PatPat down there again, the way he's playing.

So if that's true, then why is Morris being sent down again? What is there to be gained? In fact, I have yet to see a good explanation from the Rockets (this includes McHale) as to why he isn't getting playing time with the team. This kid was supposed to be NBA ready when they drafted him yet they can't keep him out of the D-League while guys like Thabeet and Williams who should be in the D-League are with the team.

Did anyone say Morris was NBA ready? He played PF in college, but is trying to become a SF in the NBA. Seems like quite a bit of stuff to work on to me.

And the DLeague is not a joke, at least the Rockets don't treat it as a joke. They actually care about how RGV is run-- have Gersson Rosas run the front office and make effort to hire credible coaches for the affiliate.

No kidding. One third of Morris's rookie season is gone, despite some spotty play from the guys at the foward position, he hasn't gotten a sniff. This whole "he's special but his defense isn't ready " bull doesn't hold water. If thats the case the whole damn team should spend time in the d-league.

Recall the conversation when he was drafted. Didn't the Rockets come out and say that Morris was able to play the 3 even though he had played the 4 in college? If he was indeed a project player, then why did they use a lotto pick on him? Didn't they need to get someone more NBA ready? I thought that was Morris. I'm not slamming the kid - I actually like him but I don't see why he needs so much time in the D-League while dead weight like Thabeet gets to stick around.

I just don't get this explanation either. It's not like this team is so stacked that Morris can't sniff the end of the bench. I would like to see what the kid can do against real NBA players.

McHale could have addressed the question better by talking about the role the Vipers fill in Morey's player development scheme. Though lord knows Morey's talked about it enough and it seems like most people still haven't caught on.

Morris was unsigned because we were gonna get Gasol and Chuck and Nene (the plan, anyway) and Morris missed out on valuable practice time.

So Morris goes to the D-league and then sprains his ankle and his return time gets pushed back. So all this gets exaggerated.

I don't like Solomon. Few Chronicle writers are worth a damn. They're either servile pukes pulling on Morey's nutsack or dudes with more attitude than aptitude.

I understand BOTH points of view.

+ Soloman is re-confirming to McHale, that if he does know the difference of "intensities" the NBA and D-League offer and to compare respectively. (He might be referring to Morris not being able to get "genuine" NBA-intensitiy.

+ Whilst, playing in the D-League may be the only genuine time Morris would have gotten as of yet. The redundancy is a buzz kill; McHale.

hate solomon's articles. they always seem arrogant and that he knows everything. if the team was run by him, then it would go straight to the toilet

Just guessing here -- but I would bet Mark Berman asked several of those questions. In the pre-game presser today, Berman started off by saying, "Promise we won't talk about the d-league today" and McHale proceeded to make several jokes about it.

It may be in the Rockets.com video of it (I'm at the game so not watching it right now)

Quick question, how long have you been on Rockets payroll?

If Thabeet can get out there and get minutes then Morris should be the first player off the bench. Why Morris isnt getting playing time on a team with no clear superstar is baffling. What Solomon did was speak truth. Why hasnt Morris been with the team? Why is the organization playing babysitter when it's clear as day Morris should be playing? Offensivley the guy has the tools to be a stud. Defensivley he's no worse than Chase. Why put him in the developmental league when he's already developed? These are all unanswered questions
