It's possible the 8/10 girl isn't standing in the picture since its a basketball rec team picture. Sometimes if I don't know a group of people well, I opt out of a photo.

 

Since this poster knows the person taking the picture, he could just ask her if OP had a chick with him.

 

What's too bad is that there was no reason for the OP to lie. It's not like he created a ridiculous story of scoring a 12/10 girl. The story was very realistic. Oh well.
