"we" didn't make these mistakes. The Wall Street wealthy and the lackadaisical government "regulators" made these mistakes. It's just that we, you and me, had to pay for their mistakes.
I'd say we had about a 10% share in it. It's a lot like the Depression, everyone bought on credit, banks gave loans to everyone and their dog, we had an unsustainable amount of people owning homes. Eventually, the **** hits the fan.
More good news for America via TMP -- The U.S. economy added 243,000 jobs in January and the unemployment rate has fallen to 8.3 percent, according to the latest jobs report from the Labor Department. Analyst expectations ranged from high 100,000s to low 200,000s, so the numbers exceed expectations.
UH OH, he mad. Even when the president is doing what these nuts ask for they still try to make excuses....wonder why....
Oh, c'mon man. You can try harder than that! What about "This is the markets responding to Mitt's 'I don't care about poor people' line or 'This is just the expected surge of a Romney Presidency'! Try being excited for the Americans (yes, even liberals) who are now employed and working! That said, go USA! Keep on recovering.
Actually the numbers are reflected in what would normally be negative ways by the revised census information. The revised numbers include more minority women, yet the unemployment still dropped. Sorry, these numbers don't really offer a chance for you to try and poo poo them.
far be it from me to help you understand the same numbers everyone else looking at them understands. You'll have to do that on your own, or continue living in ignorance based on your lack of information about the numbers.
Apparently, -508,000 people exited the labor force. I expect those -people to have a big impact on the election, with their -votes and such.
He doesn't give a **** about people finding jobs. If he had to choose between everyone finding a job and earning a decent living or everyone losing theirs so Obama could be defeated in November, he'd choose the latter every.single.time.
more than double your number, actually: -- Record 1.2 Million People Fall Out Of Labor Force In One Month, Labor Force Participation Rate Tumbles To Fresh 30 Year Low Submitted by Tyler Durden on 02/03/2012 08:51 -0500 A month ago, we joked when we said that for Obama to get the unemployment rate to negative by election time, all he has to do is to crush the labor force participation rate to about 55%. Looks like the good folks at the BLS heard us: it appears that the people not in the labor force exploded by an unprecedented record 1.2 million. No, that's not a typo: 1.2 million people dropped out of the labor force in one month! So as the labor force increased from 153.9 million to 154.4 million, the non institutional population increased by 242.3 million meaning, those not in the labor force surged from 86.7 million to 87.9 million. Which means that the civilian labor force tumbled to a fresh 30 year low of 63.7% as the BLS is seriously planning on eliminating nearly half of the available labor pool from the unemployment calculation. As for the quality of jobs, as withholding taxes roll over Year over year, it can only mean that the US is replacing high paying FIRE jobs with low paying construction and manufacturing. So much for the improvement. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/recor...month-labor-force-participation-rate-tumbles-
Wrong. I mean, the fact that it's a basso post, copying "tyler durden" from some random forum is generally enough to make it wrong, but saying that the participation rate "tumbled to a 30 year low" is utterly and entirely wrong - and only something you do if you are too dumb to adjust the numbers, or lying, or both: From the BLS
