Never claimed as such, but I'm not in this for ego. If you feel this somehow increases your bbs manhood, more power to you. You win, I don't care.

    refuse to read such bs.

you want to protect us? give us the power of education, but you should not regulate everything that isn't good for us.

once you are 18 you should posess enough knowledge to make the right choices regarding your health and your future. if you dont think that we posess enough info at that age than regulate schools, not sugar. don't tell me i can't have something because it could hurt me when used in excess, no sht, eating too many carrots is bad for you, i didn't need a scientist to tell me to stop eating so many carrots or the government to restrict my carrot intake.

direct more funds to educations and let the people decide for themselves what they wish to consume and not consume. if i want to be fat and dead at 40 than so friggin be it.

this is why i dont have a problem with fat people or druggies, there should be programs available to correct their problems/addictions if they so choose, but to force feed these idiotic regulations down our throats is more disturbing than the effects caused by consuming the things they are regulating.

just for this i am going to go home and make a DOUBLE batch of chocolate chip cookies and i may eat HALF of the raw dough. then i am going to chug a liter of cola and do 13 shots because i feel lucky. THEN, i am going to go to mcdonalds, burger king, and taco bell and order 3 things off the value menue from each, but it in a pan, bread it and fry it, put it on a bun and give it a name like "Phat Deathstar" (makes sense if you know of big bite)

Let's make walmart clothes more expensive to force people to buy nicer clothes. Because we are allowing them to buy such cheap clothes, they look bad when going to interviews making them unable to get a job! Now start taxing rice and every cash crop from our founding is covered.

Have some smokes too, but do us a favor and don't linger in the ICU. We're bankrupting the country with healthcare costs.

Clothes don't affect people's health, and we don't then have to effectively pay the hidden costs of cheap clothes.

We all pay for it eventually when lard ass can eat another cheap hostess cupcake and a liter of corn syrup to wash it down.

EDIT: You know what, on second thought, I don't want to have any government anything for sugar. Just let the flipping insurance companies monitor it like they do smoking. You want to eat poorly and be obese? No problem. Here's the escalator on your insurance premium, just like if you smoke. If I could then get an insurance bonus for eating well, all the better.

It's a complete exaggeration but it's just how a feel. I like your edit though, completely agree. I don't feel sorry for people who have poor eating habits outside of people in the ghetto. But I think there are better ways to combat the problem than taxing sugar.

I disagree with any regulation like this. I'm a non smoker but I strongly am against all the taxes and other regulations they put on tobacco.

I didn't know doctors prescribed to bro-science. Your body runs on sugar. When you are running super hard you are burning 90% sugar/carbs. If you have diabetes well that is a problem and in that case don't eat sugar. As long you don't go eat 3000 calories a day of sugar you will OK. There was guy who lost weight doing the twinkie diet. It would also be good to mix in carrot or some broccoli or a multivitamin here or there. At the end day sugar is some carbon hydrogens and oxygens and your body will break it down to get energy.

    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glycemic_index

What will actually happen is that your liver will pump out a crapload of insulin and if it happens enough, your natural metabolism will get screwed to hell and your blood glucose will rise and fall like an elevator cauding mood and energy swings.

Your post is like saying a pound of TNT and however much gasoline has the same energy both have the same energy, so there's no problem putting TNT in your gas tank.

sugar is one of the most toxic substances you can put into your body, and you should have every right to do so

Don't fall into the food police trap by debating the merits of sugar.

The question is not whether sugar is bad, it's whether or not someone else has the right to make that determination for you.

It makes sense to regulations on the production of food (imagine what our meat would be filled with if the USDA didn't pay attention - or, better yet, go research what meat production was like before the USDA). It makes no sense at all to regulate food that has already been produced and is on the market.

Unless they're just looking for more tax revenue. Then it makes sense. It makes sense, but it's wrong.
