What "real" all star big... Heck, what real all star anything are we getting with Hill, Thabeet, Williams,Patterson, or combination of? I am not looking for an all star... Just someone to toughen up our interior defense so teams don't stroll in for easy scores.

To be fair, the Hornets were planning on cutting Kaman's images out of the videos anyway. They were scaring small children.
Man, if Morey can't even grab Kaman, what the hell can he get? I understand the Pau trade was a dagger to his goal, but he has to be able to make some sort of convincing move, sooner or later.

I cant see Scola to New Orleans under any circumstances .... three more years on that deal is toxic. The only way I see Scola being moved is to a team who's a scoring big off the bench away from a title run. Thats the only type of team I could see willing to take on his contract which has this season and three more remaining. As for Kaman , If NO wants to save some money , they arent going to get a whole lot in return for him. The Rockets have the ability to take back 150% of the salary they send out in a trade meaning they only have to send out $9.35m in salary to assume that $14m contract. NO , owned by the league and already tanking badly saves nearly $3.65m in cash in exchanging one expiring deal for three smaller one's in Hill , Twill and Thabeet ($10.35m) who they could later move for cash considerations , possibly second round draft picks or even give them the flexability to move other players like Okafor or Ariza. If Im Morey , I would offer no more than that. Kaman doesnt make this team a contender with the top teams in the West.

I think something like this is more likely. We clear up some rotation spots for Morris, and eliminate redundancy. Pacers get a backup center and a backup point guard. Stephenson has a miniscule contract, and Amundson can't be worse than what we have now.
Morey isn't respected in the NBA Rockets are doomed. It's like come to the Rockets and be my most valuable asset not the franchise player.
You're so wrong. This guy has navigated his way though the contracts/injuries of Yao/Tracy while keeping this team flexible enough to feed the window (ex. headed to title when Yao walked off against LA), or cut to reload/rebuilding ...We have capspace and a$$ets. You don't just rebound overnight from this sort of thing. That said, Morey has done an excellent job of positioning us (esp. considering he has had to cater to Les's ride Yao/win sooner attitude/Herr Stern).......Patience.
