I have read Atlas Shrugged countless times and is probably my favorite book. A lesson should be learned from the movie version of The Fountainhead that was made decades ago. The movie was not terrible but simply does no justice to the depth of the story. Too much was left out of The Fountainhead and too much will be left out of Atlas Shrugged.....

Plus, I think that the black vampire from Twilight is Eddie Willers WTF? Anyway, everything is perverted and made into movies these days and I guess Atlas was no different.

Ok well **** I just watched the trailer for the first time (after posting above) and this looks terrible. The making it a modern time period is just pure disgrace.

No worries. What gets left out will be replaced by car chases. It is all good.

Ahh... the dirty little secret comes out... no one likes to talk about it.... the "right" like to slap "Christian" onto all their actions and use it as a cover for their real religion... capitalism.... and don't think freedom matters

Atlas Shrugged, and I suspect, so will the movie-going public.

My brother is a huge fan of Atlas Shrugged, the book, but he didn't have one good thing to say about this movie.

A friend of mine who saw Atlas Shrugged said it made him miss the subtle understated acting of Michael Bay movies.

    Choice quotes from Ebert's Review:

"... the most anticlimactic non-event since Geraldo Rivera broke into Al Capone’s vault."

"The dialogue seems to have been ripped throbbing with passion from the pages of Investors’ Business Daily. Much of the excitement centers on the tensile strength of steel."

"There is also a love scene, which is shown not merely from the waist up but from the ears up. The man keeps his shirt on. This may be disappointing for libertarians, who I believe enjoy rumpy-pumpy as much as anyone."
