Right now, I wouldn't give up DMo for anything than a top 10 player. I'm not saying he's going to be a superstar, but he's the only one on our roster that has the potential to be.

We've seen enough of how Morey acts to guess at what's going on: Morey is a lowballer, both in terms of trade and in terms of FA signing. He would rather not make a deal than overpay in a deal-- the only possible exception is when it comes to true elite players whose ability outstrips even the max salary. Morey held out until NYK gave what he wanted to take on Jeffries' salary. He also held out until the start of the season to sign Dalembert to a cheap contract.

So, given that Kaman is not an elite player, no way Morey overpays for him by even one cent. If some other team is willing to offer more than what Morey deems reasonable, the Rockets will let them have Kaman.

I don't know if he will be anything, but the guy has incredible quickness for his size....you have to bring him here and find out.....

People always mistake my VSpan take, I just hated Rafer and wanted VSpan to play to find out if he was any good....but for some reason, folks think I loved the guy.

The Rockets are much better with Dalembert on the court than with Hill or any other big we have at center. I see Dalembert and Kaman as being pretty close in ability. The thing is Dalembert is only good for about 25 minutes a game.

    Dude,

We loved the guy, straight up. And anyone that didn't love the guy and wasn't rooting for him was just plain basketball stupid. To want Rafer over VSpan. You have to have a screw loose.

Yeh - except when some team overpays for Kaman we'll have a bunch of douches in here yelling "y u no get Kaymaaan Morey?" And complaining that Morey didn't get Kaman for Thabeet (even though NO got more than Thabeet in the actual trade that worked).

Am I missing something...... Rafer was a likable guy here..... He played tough.... couldn't finish in traffic, did not shoot well but he played solid basketball.

Yeah but if you can trade Scola for him, you get a player that is nearly as good and you get out from under Scola's contract, and now you can offer 2 max contracts to Dwill and Howard....

But you need to have $$$$ to match the contract, so we could probably include him in the deal if we wanted.

Next season. He was going to sign here if it weren't for the lockout.
