VY? Ain't no way! Texans don't need a circus act on the team. This public call out probably indicates he has zero chance of being signed. Surely he's smart enough to know this isn't the way to go about it (or he already knows the team isn't interested). BTW, who was the joker/clown/kiss-up interviewing him? Does he know it's 2012 and not 2006?
we were told VY makes his teammates better, with intangibles like leadership, will to win, on field presence, and fortitude. were we lied to?
I would be shocked if they even considered it. Would be too much of a distraction to the Texans coming off their best season. Not sure where VY will land next year, hopefully he gets a shot somewhere.
That's my homie Adam Rapp. He's the host of Sports Rapp Live on 790. He's a cool dude. He's just showing love to the hometown kid. Don't be such a hater. That said, VY sucks
VY never had Cam's arm or accuracy. It's still kinda shocking he was taken so high and not around the range were Tebow was.
I remember seeing VY play North Shore, who I think was number 2 in the nation at the time, and he score ALL 61 points via run and pass tds, he looked unstoppable. But I have to pass on him, at best he'd be third string.
That was my junior year of high school (north shore) and I was there at the dome. What a game that was. First time watching VY and after seeing him that day, I knew he was headed to the pros. Wiki- During his senior season he led his Madison Marlins to a 61–58 victory in the 5A Regionals over the previously undefeated Galena Park North Shore Mustangs, accounting for more than 400 yards of total offense while passing for three touchdowns and rushing for two more before a crowd of 45,000 in the Houston Astrodome.
Enrolled through UT in remedial program, emotionally unstable, calls out his coaches, calls out his teamates, 3rd string QB on non-playoff team: can't think of a reason the Texans wouldn't want this guy. Other than 2006 of course.
As contenders, we need him now more than ever. VY already said he wants to be the next black quarterback to win a superbowl- before Vick & before McNabb. I'd rather he do it here than for some other team. In the meantime, I agree he should at least ACT like he's okay with taking the backup spot, say all the right things, & be patient. He'll get his chance to start soon enough either way (injuries, if he doesn't beat Schaub outright).
Huh?? He's not a good QB. Why do we need him? I already said I would like to be the next drummer for Rush. That doesn't mean it's going to happen...
I want to be the first 41 year old man who has never played organized football to sign a 10 million deal to anchor an offensive line to win a Super Bowl. Does that mean the Texans need to sign me lest someone else does. After all I "already said it" Vy couldn't carry Schaub's jockstrap with a wheelbarrow, he might have a shot at beating out Leinart/Yates if Schaub went down or isn't all the way back...so if I thought he (and his burnt orange rooting section) were really o.k with a backup gig I would say bring him on. He is gonna be a backup somewhere. Maybe he can be the next black QB to carry a clipboard in the Bowl. If we are looking for a black starter to get there, my money is on Cam. You know, Vy + throwing accuracy.
He should try out for the Rockets.......Used to be a good b-ball player at Madison....Morey should take a look..."Asset"....lol
