So, Major which way will you go? The perfect election for you. Two middle of the road calculating cautious guys with little to distinguish between them, once they stop posturing for the folks in their parties.

Glynch, are you actually annoyed that Gingrich lost, or are you just wanting your radicals and his radicals to fight or something?

Hamilton's involvement in the Constitutional Convention (you know, the basis of our government):
Hamilton certainly was an important Founding Father and a huge part of our early government, but his views were so far out of the mainstream that it's only important to look them to understand opposition views within the Founders' opinions. Hamilton had about as much effect on the founding of the United States as Ron Paul does to the modern government.

Apparently Newt was the only candidate that did not call Romney and congratulate him on his win last night.

It's amazingly depressing that such enormous assholes as Newt (and he's far from the only one) can still generate admiration and support.

Well, 16 million dollars in attack ads will do that.

Newt could have still sacked up and called him.

Newt absolutely hates Romney and everything he represents. It's that anger and spite that makes him such a bad potential President, and it's also that anger that's going to drive him to continue to attack Romney for the next month or two.

I was watching the 5:30 NBC News last night, asking myself "why are they spending half the the show on the Florida Primaries? Romney is going to win, there are absolutely no platform positions being discussed, Romney is going to be the nominee, Obama is going to win the election, the Republicans are going to run the House... nothing is going to change for anybody"..... then they showed yet another Cialis commercial.

It's just sponsor-specific info-tainment for the 'wealthy old limp dick' demographic.

The best hedge right now for Big Money, back Obama for the White House and Republicans for the swing spots in the House.

    Win/Win

Good question. Newt was the original spear head for accomplishing much of the Reagan agenda which has led millions of Americans and others to suffer.

Romney is a cheerful uber richy rich guy who reminds me of a smarter Rick Perry. In his defense he did get folks in Mass though he is the epitome of rich Wall Streeters laying off folks just to pocket a personal fortune. What a choice.

I think in his own wierd way Newt is more honest than Romney. I do find him more amusing and even interesting, colonies on the moon and all. Some of his ideas are thought provoking while Romney is a purely calculating machine who might actually be a corporation turned person to amass bucks.

As i said I do find it important to have Newt so clearly blast buying the elections, though he would do it himself if he had the bucks. The most important thing Romney has done or said so far is when he cheerfully admitted to paying a lower tax rate than virtually anyone on this bbs.

If Newt drops out all we have is Romney and Santrorum arguing over who is more Christian and who wants to invade Iran more or some other stupid issues.

In short, as Newt agonizes in public we might have more education for the public about the GOP, their nominee Romney and the bs in the electoral system than if he drops out. Who knows even maybe even a worthwhile idea or two, sort of a Ron Paul function

They had it on at Luby's.

(I had actually just finished pulling up some wood floors my contractor screwed up, it was 5:30 when I slumped in a chair)

I assume the virile are still being productive or engaging their children at 5:30.

The revelation was that the GOP coverage was just that, marketing aimed at retirees. I guess that's what the the whole national news is now, there certainly wasn't much news. 12 minutes on Florida, 4 minutes on Iran considering striking Western targets (oh noes!)

So true, but we are the greatest democracy in the world.:( Also the media is slobbering at the thought of Romney and Obama spending a couple of billion on negative TV commercials, so they love it.
