Williams must have been playing terribly in practice not to get time when Lee was out. I really thought I'd be groaning through another bout of "TWill" going one on five while we lost a lead, or fell further behind in a game, yet we didn't see him. It's weird. I see the things Batman likes about the cat, and I understand giving him time on the court with the second unit to "work things out" and get on the same page with everyone else, but McHale isn't coaching to lose games. Clearly, he's not coaching to lose games. He's going to put the players on the court that give him the best chance of winning. As others have said, Williams is unlucky enough to be at a position that might be the deepest on the team, the two spot. Martin, Lee, Dragic, Bud, and Parsons can all give minutes there, and effectively, depending on matchups. Flynn is buried on the end of the bench. Morris is in D-League. As heypartner pointed out, the emergence of Parsons had a big impact on Williams. Parsons can guard 4 positions on the court, and do anywhere from a decent to an outstanding job, consistently. He doesn't play like a rookie. Shockingly, he's become a starter, and it makes sense. Lee deserves minutes. Lowry and Dragic (when he isn't at the two) have the one covered. Where does that leave Terrence Williams? Telling himself he's "great" and not understanding what's going on. And that's his problem.
I didn't think we'd still be seeing threads about our 12th man for this long after acquiring said 12th man.
This time I agree with you DD.. Three NBA coaches can't all be wrong when it comes to Twills. I can point out one thing that I have see in videos of Twills in practice, is that he can not shut his F....ng mouth. I have worked and played around people like him. Mouth running all the time... talking shyt ever second of the day and night.... bragging their shyt never stinks or just trying to be the center of attention when in fact they are as annoying as hell. I was one person one the boards that was hoping Twill would turn out to be a diamond in the rough and with encouragement shine on this team for all of us to cheer. So far he has just been a big lump of moist excrement that can talk a lot of shyt in practice and is not ( as Clyde would say ) a Popcorn player. He just can't make it happen in a real game on the court and thats what matters the most. Right now he is used for practice along with Cbud, Thabeet, J. Adrien, and J. Flynn. Thabeet is not even listed on the roster right now nor is Morris for that matter. I'm talking about the Tv Companion roster for tonights 1/22/12 game<<<<!!!!! http://www.nba.com/tvc/index.html?gamecode=20120121/SASHOU&brand=HOU They are listing 13 players from last nights game and Thabeet and Morris are missing from it and unless the rules have changed you can really only dress 12 players per game correct? Not sure if/or what the rule is with the new CBA this year about how many players you can have singed to NBA contracts and send to the D-League at the same time.... maybe Bimathug knows. Point being maybe send 2 or 3 players down at the same time to RGV??? It's a thought is all I'm saying. Anyway.. Twills ain't getting game time playing time and thats that. I think Cbud is ahead of him off the bench anyways.. Just saying let the best man get the minutes when and if the time comes...whom ever that may be. This is a link to the D-league futurecast games where you can see what M&M (Morris) has been up to while playing for RGV. Just follow the instructions on the page (hint click on the OPEN FUTURECAST PLAYER ...at the top of the instructions page and then the calender thing to pick your game date to view) http://www.nba.com/dleague/video/dleague_futurecast_archives.html One last thing...as long as the team stays relatively injury free we are making the play offs unless Kmac starts screwing up as the coach... our bench needs to step it up big time and that means Lee, Hill (I know Hill has been sick the last week or so) and 2Pat. All three have to do a lot better off the bench. Kmac has been good at trying to play a 9 man rotation and knows he can go 10 deep if needed. I think he played 10 guys in 2 or 3 regular season games and knows that did not work with this team. It may end up working later on with more practice time though. Peace out to you Hater posters that shyt on rockets players all the time and knee jerk your r****ded trolling posts that clogs up.....http://bbs.clutchfans.net/.... with all of your childhood issues/manly shortcomings/or small t*** and no money for a boob job lives. Yeah that reason is that those first ten games were against much tougher opponents. He wasn't terrible in the games he played in and definitely wasn't the reason for the losses.
Terrence Williams is a shooting guard/point guard. We have Lowry, Martin, Lee, and Dragic, all of whom are better than him. He is NOT a small forward, as if he was, he would have gotten time once Bud was being benched, at least a little of playing time would've come his way. It's obvious he is on a team where his two positions are two of our strongest. That my friends, is why T-Will will always be T-Won't on this team.
And bench who????.... -Budinger.... the guy whose been the best offensive player off the bench the last few games -Parsons.... the guy who does all the small things that help this team win, the Rockets current glue guy and best defensive SF stopper. -Lee- Best SG/PG defensive player. Consistently been the most consistent player off the bench night after night on both ends of the court. Face it, Terrence Williams does not give the team a better chance to win then these three guys. If one or more of them roll an ankle or catch the flu you get your wish and you can see for yourself that Terrence Williams the real basketball player isnt the same one on 2K12. That being said, yes I agree he wasn't terrible in the first 8 or 9 games of the season, but he wasnt great either. On alot of teams he would have a chance to play, but Houston has been fortunate to not have more injuries and depth issues this season. He did make some costly mistakes offensively that led to him getting pushed down in the rotation. Get over it guys. Its nice though that he hasn't been a complete distraction and caused lockeroom issues. It seems like given the opportunity with injuries or poor play, Terrence would be ready to step in at any point and give them minutes off the bench.
jump shot jump shot jump shot jump shot, everyone was settling, and it wasn't a result of the defense. They were playing straight up switch everything and deny the post and baseline screens, this team needs someone that can break down his man off a pick and roll, and can explode off those switches... Terrence Williams. For all his deficiencies and "rumours" of bad attitude, the guy brings what we lack, an athletic wing that can drive and finish with contact in the lane.
