Funny how just a week ago, people were saying they wouldn't trade him for Chris Paul, Deron Williams(yesterday), or any other great PG... Now he's underachieving in homer's eyes, and better watch out for Dragic?lol... Stick to the script....He's having a rough time but he'll get out of it... He is a good guard, leader, and most importantly basketball player..... Nothing more , nothing less...
If that's the case , then he gotta go.... This could transform into multiple b****fits and stupid one-liner interviews..... McHale is only as good as his team.. It's not McHale fault he inherited a team full of role players(Lowry included)... His fast start has gotten into his head.. If he doing this type of crap, then he's obviously mistaken himself as a franchise player.... I say pull the trigger, if it becomes a problem...
I noticed the same thing. For all the posters who have crucified Adelman for not starting Lowry over Brooks, Lowry has said RA was the best coach he ever had and credits him for helping him evolve his offensive game. I don’t think he’s as sold on McHale yet, but McHale needs to command respect and not allow that kind of stuff. Adelman was someone that commanded respect from his overall ruler presence and his coaching record. Lowry and Lee would have never questioned his coaching strategy to the media. Also not good that Scola is this irritated with lack of focus at practice: Jonathan_Feigen Jonathan Feigen McHale needs to make sure he's letting it known who's boss.
I'm afraid that he's getting to his real level Like it was sad before. This board is A+ on overrating players and A+ in blaming them for their inability to reach a clutchfans promiseland Don't forget the fact that some of CF members were complaining about that Deron Williams is garbage and they will better have Lowry at the point... That garbage Deron Williams is averaging 20.4 Points + 9.2 assists per game in January with a team, that has no offense and only three NBA caliber player around him in Brooks, Stevenson and Humphries.
McHale, trust ur bench. Let Lowry rest. Play Dragic and Lee together. Mix up the 3 position little bit. Lowry is hesitating a little. Like Clyde said, just shoot.
I went to the game and the guy did most of his work in the second half on the side I was sitting. He went right about 5 times in a row, drawing fouls, hitting baby hooks, and nailing small fade-aways. He's just a good scorer when he has his outside jumper going. Either left or right. Period.
That's bs, he played well last year, you don't think teams started scouting him until the last few games. I'm sure he will bounce back, I don't understand why everybody wants to run down our top players. I wonder what is wrong like everybody else but that doesn't mean I think he all of a sudden sucks.
I feel many/most of the ideas in this thread so far have some merit. For me, its a matter of which are having the most impact. Heavily: 1) Fatigue (the schedule, playing both ends of the floor, too many minutes) 2) Other teams scouting us and realizing how vital his cog is to our success and adjusting accordingly Moderately: 1) Slow coaching adjustments and counter adjustments during game 2) Other players contributing more (Lowry doesn't HAVE to score as much and can play more of a facilitator role. Adjusting to that role) Small: 1) Frustration 2) Coach/player relationship 3) Playing a bit over his head. The law of averages.
Being extremely average has caught back up with the team is what. When you have the practice of being perrenially average in performance every year? Thats what the team mantra becomes. GO AVERAGE!!!!!!!!
You know Lowry is an emotional guy, some of his poor play of late could be that he is just a little bit frustrated with things. He will snap out of it......soon enough. DD
I partially agree, Lowry is somehow overrated, and I've seen him yelling at other teammates too soon, despite not having good enough court vision himself, and it was in the former season. If Deron Williams becomes available, I'd trade for him in a heartbeat. KL is still frar from being a nationwide known NBA star, while DW could be used as a bait for bringing another star to the team.
Dude logs insane minutes, and this schedule is brutal in its pacing. Give him some rest. Dead legs are nobody's friend.
Seriously I think dead legs started the turn from the "all-star" climb but now I think it's more of a confidence issue caused from the poor playing which was caused by overplaying.
I think he just isn't as good as everyone thought he was. Sure, he got off to a hot start, but that's over now.
