Repped. Tinman is so much better when he is not talking about Tracy.

TOF, please do some research about Bird's rights, cause Crawford HAS NONE.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_salary_cap

    Larry Bird exception

To qualify as a Bird free agent, a player must have played three seasons without being waived or changing teams as a free agent.

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/crawfja01.html

Crawford only played for two seasons for the Hawks, therefore he doesn't qualify for Bird's rights.

    Tinman, please do some research.

GSW traded Crawford to the Hawks so he did get the 3 years.

Stop arguing when you have no idea what you're talking about.

I'm bored of proving you wrong constantly.

The Hawks didn't want to pay him that much, which I proved on the ESPN article. Who wants to pay a bench player $10 million bucks?

When you can get a cheap player like Tmac for a less? Why pay for steak when you can get a Big Mac for cheap?

    tinmac, you suck

If you can continue that kind performance here, you can win an "Idiot of the Year" Trophy. Otis Smith will be upset because of it, he thought that he is the only chaser. Not for now

Ok, leader of the TOF nation.

    two questions for you.

Why did the Hawks sign Tracy McGrady?

Why did the Hawks not resign Jamal Crawford?

    Last question. Bonus.

Who would win a fight between Dominique Wilkins and Tracy McGrady?

    I don't understand this.

I would pay for steak over a Big Mac because it tastes better.

That's like saying why pay for Dwight Howard when you can have Sam Dalembert for cheap.

I give up. I honestly don't understand what you're saying half the time.

The half time I do understand what you're saying, I go ahead and prove you wrong until you realize that the only way to not be destroyed in any debate is by posting nonsensical things that are completely irrelevant to the argument.

You would have signed for Crawford instead of Tracy?

I guess you know that Mac is popular, has lots of cheese and special sauce, but in the long run it's bad for you:p

The team can pay 10 million per year for their bench player if he is really important. Terry and Odom from the last championship teams can really prove the doubters wrong

Hawks were able to sign Jamal to a huge deal if he wasn't a black hole on offense. He really played great for them in a playoffs, but they knew that he tried to reach his maximum value to get as a much as he can in a last offseason

Hawks should sign him to that deal if....

    - there were no negotiations with a potential buyers for this franchise (deal felt through just before the start of the season)
    - there were no guys in a backcourt that can play on a high level. Teague showed them some promise, Kirk is Kirk, he's on a decline but he's still a solid player
    - there were no guys that can make some shots. Jamal presence certainly cut some Joe-Joe's opportunities and you can see now that even with his choking abilities, Johnson averaged 19+ PPG in January
    - if they have no backup plan in their mind. Hinrich's contract will expire this offseason. If they will use an amnesty Johnson (and they finally will when this team will choke again), they can sign Deron Williams to a big deal and rebuild immediately to a ECF chaser at least

Their decision of letting Crawford go was more about team's future. It they were only a "Jamal Crawford signing" out of the championship contender rank, they sure will sign him for whatever he asks. But with an opportunity to rebuild the team immediately via free agency with two all-star caliber talents on the boat in J-Smoove and Horford, they can't take that risk, especially if they knew that this signing will take them nowhere

And it's not actually the time to give some grades for T-Mac signing, like it was said before, his priority is to be healthy at the first game of their first round matchup in this year's playoffs. That will be the time when he's going to explode and he definitely will

If Al Horford could play in postseason, he will be limited. Joe Johnson proved that he's a choker in playoffs for the last bunch of years, J-Smoove can be a beast offensively against one team, but he can be a ******* bust against the other, it all depends on matchups, just like last year showdown proved the point. Teague is horrible under pressure, Marvin is Marvin, he's a garbage. He shoot more than 40% from the field just once in four playoffs appearences, he's 39% at FG department for his career in postseason.

Their potential success, or just an advancing to the second round, will depend on T-Mac and Kirk abilities to step up and they both know that.

T-Mac scores 15 on 5-7 shooting and no one discusses his performance here?

Pretty solid game for him. It looks like he's gotten into his role as first guy off the bench. Defers to starters, controls the game when he's out with the bench.

That can't be right, I don't see DaDakota anywhere on that list.
