i agree... but why did lowry only play but 26 minutes...?? i am sure he could use the rest... and it wasnt like he was shooting horribly(5-10fg / 0-1 from deep) or that dragic(2-10fg / 0-4 from deep) was on fire, it was actually the opposite...dragic was having a bad game, lowry wasnt...yet they played almost the exact amount of minutes(26-24) and i dont even remember seeing lowry at all in the 4th... but when we were starting to go behind we could have used his tenacity... i was at the bar so maybe i missed an injury(hope not)..??? maybe mchale was told to play his bench more(by morey to possibly try and boost thier value)... or mchale is just an idiot...

Of the two quarters I've seen, anything that went through Scola last night resulted in a miss or a turnover... Luis couldn't hold down the double teams last night at all. Not to mention Beasley went nuts on us.

Giving up Scola & Martin for Gasol is in no stretch of the imagination a "homerun"

-Paul Gasol's NOT an elite player anymore

-At this point, Scola brings more to the table than Gasol. And let's not talk about work ethic:rolleyes:

-Giving up Scola's one thing, but Scola AND Martin for a 31 year old center who's work ethic & heart comes in to question every year. Fail

-Gasol made it clear he didnt want to play here

The trade should never be an excuse. Morey's the most overrated GM in the NBA at this point

well, he could have flipped both Pau and Nene for Dwight Howard, see, the object of everyone's affections now.

People are criticizing Morey for accumulating good role players, without acknowledging that he tried to make that big upgrade through trade. He's trying to build a contender without overpaying and without tanking (Les' decision).

Let's try to see you do a better job.

I was there last night, Rubio is really really good but he is a flopping piece of crap. Every time Kyle would touch him he'd throw his head back like he was just shot.

This is bull. Pau is an elite player STILL and will prove it when he is away from Kobe.

Scola does NOT bring more to the table than Pau. Pau defends, he can play the high post with the shot or the great pass, and he can score in the low block.

People mistake wanting to play smart basketball for "not having heart". That label on Pau is not justified. He's a smart, smart player. He wants to play smart, winning basketball.

Gasol made it clear several years ago that he wanted to retire a Laker, after they won their championship. Do you blame him? No. None of these guys want to be traded that are playing on a championship capable team with a winning organization. So what. When they get to their next destination and start winning, it all changes. See Marcus Camby. He's never wanted to be traded but not too long after he was traded, he was at home with his new team not wanting to be traded from them.

Maybe you have a point about Gasol not wanting to play here. But saying Scola brings more to the table than Gasol is a little silly. If we had Gasol, he'd be a 20/10 player you can run the offense through and who also will help protect the basket defensively. Maybe that's not good enough, but its a hell of a lot better than what Scola is capable of.

it's clear from last night's ass-kicking that we can't guard big, strong SFs, nor can we guard big, strong PFs. Scola's defense and rebounding continue to be serious problems (dude had 1 freaking rebound last night ...1!). You can't have your starting PF getting 1 rebound. Likewise, Parsons just looked outmatched last night, and Courtney Lee should not be guarding anyone over 6'7". 6'5" C. Lee guarding 6'10" Beasley was a joke (throwing Bud out there might have even been worse).

We have a serious problem with our front court defense. This is nothing new, but last night, it really showed. We need some well-rounded 3s and 4s. With the exception of Parsons (who has been playing over his head), we are way too one-dimensional there.

I would've liked to see Morris against B-Easy but whatever.

Just as well, is anyone else shocked at how porous Lowry's transition D is? He's having a lot of trouble getting back and stopping the ball on the break. He always looks rather slow to make a decision in these situations and against quick, smart guards like Rubio or Wall that's a huge issue. Dragic does a much better job at this and has actually looked like a better defender this year. Though Lowry has leadership qualities very few people at any position in the L have.

Then we would be worse than Orlando or New Jersey and then Howard and Williams would both leave and we'd be battling Washington for doormat of the league for the next twenty years.

-Coach literally made me sick to my stomach with his lineups in the 2nd half. WHY STICK WITH SOMETHING THAT'S NOT WORKING?!?! If you try to play small you play right into what Adleman LOVES to do.
-JHill was on his way to a 3rd straight double-double but doesn't touch the floor in the 2nd half. It might not have changed the game drastically but I guarantee it would help a much needed big gain confidence.
-Finally, when Beasley is torching EVERYONE....swallow your pride and throw someone like TWill at him to try to slow him down. He's more built to guard a bigger man than CLee! Terrible coaching decisions tonight.

I don't think T-Will and the Rockets are seeing eye to eye at the moment.
