Okc problem right now is only 2 guys have showed up offensively for them and they are not playing good defense tonight. They need James Harden to get it going.
No sense in getting upset friend. He's just not a point guard. He's a scoring guard. They need to move him to the 2 and get a real PG. And really, they should trade him now. They could get a king's ransom for him and be good enough to beat anyone in the East. As it is now, they won't even make it out of the West. Westbrook is their Achilles heal.
Westbrook has 5 turnovers and 17 points on 15 shots. He's not having a good offensive game. He's just hogging the ball and taking a lot of shots. That translates to 34 points on 30 shots with 10 turnovers for a game. That is what you call losing basketball. Meanwhile, his teammates are standing around waiting to touch the basketball. Westbrook is playing awful.
Shaud, only one guy has showed up for them. And you don't know if anybody else showed up because Westbrook won't throw them the rock.
This is what I've been trying to say! If they can get a pg that can make everyone else better, then they are even harder to beat. That's going to hurt when the playoffs come around.
Yes Westbrook is what is holding OKC back. I wonder how they have improved every single year since he has joined since Westbrook is The cancer Their Achilles heel The ego-maniac
Well no excusing for Harden not showing up considering he played with the bench too and still didn't do much. Maybe he isn't used to starting since he normally comes off of the bench.
The reason Westbrook has to do so much is because the rest of the team is pretty inept offensively. And because his coach is terrible.
Also name one PG that they should trade for that will make them Champions. How many true pgs would really improve that team over Westbrook. Don't mention Chris Paul either because he isn't available. Deron is about the only who they could realistically get to improve the PG position and I bet OKC won't take that route.
I'm still stuck in Dallas and can't watch NBA TV, but viewing the box score, looks like Caron Butler is unconscious and only two guys are showing up for OKC. They need a good kicking and tonight looks like the night. Despite the great record, too many of their wins have been sloppy and their team concentration has been lacking. A game like this should help OKC see themselves more clearly. I think there is a reason Sam Presti hasn't extended Scott Brooks and I hope he doesn't before the season is over. They might need to make a move over the summer because it doesn't seem like Brooks learned anything over the long break. Those of us that watch OKC often know he is not very good. Brooks deserves his lame duck status.
No, they're not going to trade him right now. They haven't figured it out yet. It may be a year or two yet. But another big playoff disappointment and Presti is going to start thinking about it. Once the season is over and they're not putting up with the media and Durant telling everybody Russ is his main man, etc. I don't think they necessarily need to trade Westbrook for another point guard. I think Maynor, when healthy, is an excellent table setter for them. They should consider moving Westbrook and possibly Perk for a center like Bogut and another scorer at the 3. Or they should simply move Westbrook to the 2 and Harden to the 3 and turn the team over to Maynor. They won't win a championship with Westbrook at the point.
