Yeah, but I think it is confidence, for some reason the guy has lost it, he passed up a ton of open looks tonight, and he was shooting ok......

Something is going on....maybe he heard he was being shopped?

Morey liked Rubio and HOW MANY OTHER GMS? Everybody knew the guy was a prospect, It's not like Morey discovered something no one else knew.

Right.. and when Rubio was available and had his worst value Morey did not get him when he could have right?

What move for Rubio are you referring to? What's the trade that he could have made and should have made but didn't? Its obvious neither his owner nor his coach would be thrilled with the idea of a possible 20-win season just to acquire him.

There was no trade. IIRC it was a package based on their best players at the time Brooks + Battier. The Rockets just didn't have the assets to get such a high pick.

We lost because Lowry is not his usual self.

Hopefully the shorter minutes cures whatever ails him.

Oh come on! Rubio had his lowest value in the offseason and a good deal could have most likely got him when he was coming off the bench in Europe and his numbers were really low. In fact nobody saw any of this good playing coming because he was playing so bad overseas. Morey didnt offer anything real good or good enough to get him obviously.

I would be surprised if the Rocket are shopping him. I think he's a guy they really want as part of the future core of this team.

I think confidence could be playing a role, as you say. He was feeling it with the outside jumper earlier in the year. Just stepping into those shots in rhythm. His success from the perimeter maybe set up in his penetration. Without that outside shot going in and defenses playing off him a bit more, he's not finding the same openings to get to the basket.

Alright fine. Not disagreeing but you said he is already better than anyone on our roster. WTF? He has played 21 NBA games in his career. Calm down with the CP3, Cousy, Maravich, etc. comparisons....

OK, so if nobody saw it ... what's your criticism again? A mistake is something you don't do that a good GM would. But you're saying that nobody predicted Rubio would play this well.

Message is the same for years. Good team and no stars. People like Morey for building this team to win. They give him credit for it. Then turn right around and say we have less talent than the Twolves and cant get a star to be above mediocre. For years now. The message has not changed. Morey is not getting it done. He is just barely getting by and according to everyone not getting talent or stars.

Some thoughts: Kyle played ok but there is no reason he should be passing up so many open shots.
Kmart played decent defense and kept us in it for quite a while.
    The refs were pretty bad
Scola needs to be traded and patterson needs to start
Defense was terrible. Layup drills but a lot of those points were free throws as well (or it seemed like it)

So which is it? Morey is good at his job or we have less talent than the Twolves for years? We have no stars and winning is good for Morey but bad for us? Which is it? As I see it its all not that good. Its average GM work. At best.

Cant have your cake and eat it too. Either we have talent and Morey is doing a good job to build for the future/trade/manuever or he is not doing a good job and we are in worse shape than the Twolves. Not both. Its either or in that discussion. Its been years that way now.

I know one thing we can agree on. Wes Johnson is not good. Time to round up those 10' busts.

How about amnestying Thabeet and getting Motie back from his European team?

We also need to incorporate Morris.
