Ugh.....DO NOT WANT! http://www.bigshow790.com/player/?s...odcast&program_id=OtherStuff.xml&mid=21772908
third string qb just in case schaubie and yates go down. We could bring Vince in for an option package with jacoby..what could go wrong? **I would rather have Colt.
HELL NO he's a cancer in the locker room do not want I've been right about this guy all along. told ya so UThug fluffers
I would welcome him... Being him would remind him of what he used to be... Might bring some overconfidence in his spot starting tenure(lets face it, Schaub aint playing 16 games).... I think he can channel his Madison days every once in a while
At like 12 seconds he says he will be somewhere starting. He wouldn't be much happier being a back-up here than he was with the Eagles. He isn't good enough to start here and the UT portion of the Texans fan base would be howling for him to start even if Schaub was doing an Aaron Rodgers imitation. My only concession is that if we find out in the off season that Schaub's injury won't let him answer the bell at the start of the season, we could bring him in to compete with Leinart and Yates, cause this probably is a team Vince could win with if we had no better options. Assuming Schaub is somewhere close to healthy, we don't need VY.
Yeah, but worse than that, being here would remind us of what he is. Nostalgia is not a tangible asset on the field.
Houston is the ONLY team where Vince Young can become a superstar. I would definitely take a flyer on him.
Agreed... Like I said, that confidence to know you have the entire city on your back , will drive him... But it's the wrong time , right now to ever see it... The only resentment I have toward the Mario pick is , Houston wouldve won a championship with Vince at the helm..... Now they will win one with Schaub:grin:.... Great but not feel-good story great
Exactly. I don't know about the championship part because our defense was downright horrible. But he would have been the best player of the top 3 picks by far if we drafted him. Crowd energy is a huge part of his performance. Whether it's the sound of breaking hearts a visited stadium, or the safety-violating cheers of Reliant Stadium, he will feed off of it. Being in Philadelphia, where the crowd will let their Eagles know that they suck, was a bad recipe for VY.
I could see it happen if the Texans trade TJ for some picks or a WR to a desperate team but I'll have to put this under..... UNLIKELY.
