Do you think Chicago is as good as their record?

I agree but barely losing on the road without your second best player is pretty impressive. i still think they are fools for not trading Asik for Courtney Lee last year though. They should be on the phone right now trying to make that trade happen.

Simply not true. They have a solid all-around team featuring almost-all stars in Boozer, Noah, and Deng. Each of those guys is as good as one of the Rockets' three of Lowry/Martin/Scola. Adding Rose and Boozer elevated the Bulls to an elite level.

For whatever reason Deng in particular has constantly flown under the radar in his career. He is a very good all-around small forward who does a lot of things well but nothing spectacular. He's not an all-star, but he's not far from it.

I sometimes think Rose hurts them on offense. He tends to go EGO on many possessions and when these moments happen you already know he's gonna try to make a basket by any means necessary, no matter how open his teammates are.
The team just clicks when he is injured, they score more points, share the ball and the whole team has a better efficiency. All advanced stats back that up. Of course he's gonna help them in big playoff moments, but not in the regular season. Reminds me of the pre-Melo and post-Melo Nuggets. Just a whole different approach to the game, team-oriented basketball where everyone scores and shares the ball.

I think you're underestimating Rose's ability to pass a little. He's currently averaging 7.8 assists per game with 3.1 turnovers. It's not elite but it certainly doesn't scream "chucker!" He also has a .558 TS% so he's scoring efficiently.

Rose definitely makes their team better, but you are right that they have a good all-around team with unselfish players around him.

    Rose makes their team better.
    Are people seriously doubting that?

    Chicago has an excellent coach
    A great defense
    The MVP
    The best PG
Great team players in Noah, Brewer, Hamilton, Gibson
Then they have two other all-star caliber players in Deng and Boozer
And everyone has to have their designated shooter, Korver

They have a good roster, I think they're as good as they're record. However, I have only seen maybe 3 or 4 full games this year.

Rose is just friggin amazing, some of his finishes yesterday were incredible. Too bad he missed the freethrows. Would have loved to see the Heat lose at the end...

Reminds me of that SA DAl game...oooo man did I want green's shot to be good, sucked the life right out of dallas..."oh he just sucked the gravity right out of the building."

They will def make it to the EC finals, but the Heat are a lot better this year

Chicago is an awesome team. Their record? A little confusing. While Rose is a beast and MVP, i'v got to see more consistency from everyone else starting with Rip and Booz

Until Rose can score on Lebron, Bulls ain't beating the Heat.

Thibs needs to put Rose on the move when Lebron guards him

Yeah. Rose with Lebron guarding him shot 6% in the playoffs last year. It was the difference in the series.

    Boozer has been really useless.

I honestly don't think they get to the ECF.. I think Atlanta will beat them if they play them.... Indiana also would beat them IMO... Talented team just not being able to get over the hump just yet... Reminds me of the Pacers teams of the late 90's

Ever since he called out Bosh last year, Bosh has been owning him with ease.

Another way Chicago can beat Miami is by outrebounding them by a ton. They won 5 games last year by outrebounding them by 7+ in those games. When the margin was smaller, Heat win.

Pacers have more talent and depth than the Bulls outside of Rose imo.

They may have the best record, but they're definitely not the best team in the NBA. The problem with Chicago is Rose is the only one who is capable of breaking down the defense and create shots on his own. The others are very good offensive players who rely on set plays and transition offense. If you take those away from them, they can't make any shot. Which is why they need another star on that team if they hope to defeat teams like the Heat or Thunder in the playoffs. Essentially, the only strategy to beat Chicago is to shut down Rose. He is their facilitator and scorer. You'll basically take away the heart of the team.

Rip is a good spot up shooter but he's too old to break down any defense or create his own shots. In the championship game, Terry and JJ Barea stepped up big time to help Dirk fend off defenders. That's why Chicago really need to get to the top. Otherwise, they'll always like the Utah Jazz from the 90s. Very good but not good enough to win it all.

They are certainly one of the best teams in the NBA. No doubt. The best? Who cares? They are about 1 of 3 to 4 teams who can win the championship. That is as good as their record needs to indicate.

No Deng and the game was so close. That's the biggest positive for the Bulls
