They're a half game out the playoffs and they haven't played with a legit NBA pg yet. I think they will a little over .500 by the end of the season.
If the Knicks out-tank the other tanking tanks, and we can't tank ourselves out of the playoffs, we'll be in the real tank. . .
I'm just wondering how pissed the Knicks fans are right now. They traded away a very good very young up and coming team for Carmelo. In hind sight would anyone still want to trade: Gallinari Wilson Chandler Raymond Felton Knicks 1st round pick 2014 For Carmelo Anthony? That group with Amare last season was really playing well and more importantly they were playing like a team.
I doubt it. The Knicks front office won't give up that easily, and while Melo and Stoudemire are overrated, they're still good players. Davis and Chandler are also solid. They ought to at least be able to get up close to .500 by the end of the season, especially if they fire D'Antoni and hire an actual coach.
Hopefully when Melo comes back, they'll win a few games. Don't worry, those other teams are tanking hard. If they don't make the playoffs in the East, they'll probably end up in the 6th -10th range.
I highly doubt that. I have seen posters make assumptions but I would be shocked if this happened. The Zen Master cant fix this.
#6 would be so perfect. Imagine what Morey could do with the 6th pick. (Also a 21% chance of getting a top 3 pick with no. 6.)
Charlotte, Washington, Detroit have the top 3 worst record locked up. Hornets and Toronto can get better but not good enough to get out of the lottery. Gordon is out another 3-6 weeks. Bargnani is out again. Both guys make their teams better than dreadful. Golden State and Sacramento are less than ordinary teams even if they seem to look better than what they were or still are.
