I personelly dont think they is. I feel they are similer to Lebrons Cavs of 60 plus wins. They a one star team who can dominate regular season but come playoff time wen all da stars are playin 40 plus mins a game, they just aint got enough firepower. Case in point: last year roses bulls swept miami in regular season and then u remember what happened in da playoffs
yes...best defense in the NBA. Plus, they did add Rip this year. That was a major weakness that got exposed in the playoffs, last year. not to say they win, or anything. but they are what their records says.
I'm saying they are what their records says. I'm answering your question. Your question was not "Can the Bulls win." The Heat SHOULD win. But the Bulls are capable of beating them...they are the only one in the East with a shot. So, yes, they are what their records says they are.
Typical Gundy/Thibs team. Plays playoff basketball during the regular season. The give more effort, so they win more games. However, when the playoffs come around, every team plays hard, and the games are much closer. No one knows how good they are until the playoffs.
They can't beat the Heat is because MIA sports too much star power and when Rose's supporting cast needs to show up, they...well, they don't. Tell y'all what, let the Bulls play in the West playoffs, they'll pretty much handle everyone.
Sleepy Floyd, Come on. They played beyond everone's expectation last year, and last to a team who was SUPPOSED to beat them. The Heat was supposed to beat them last year. And actually, they were supposed to crush them. Now the Bulls added Rip Hamilton and have another year of experience. Just because they might not beat the Heat again...come on...that makes them overrated?? This is one of those arguments where you can say, if 60-win, team X can't win the title, then they are overrated. If you are going to set the parameters of you thread that we must say they are either overrated or not, then I'll just bow out now.
How do you know this is still true. they added Rip Hamilton to cover their most glaring hole from the playoffs last year.
Why do you insist on going out of your way to communicate like a moron? Is it a character like Ali G? I just don't get the extra effort to be WRONG.
Well, I meant "the last time they saw MIA"/"that's the reason why they won't beat them". I should have typed that out beforehand. My bad. I like them MORE this year. It's going to be CHI/MIA in the ECF barring injury. I think Rip helps a ton and he will, in my eyes, have a few 20+ point games in the playoffs that KILLS teams come April and May. Boozer has been money this year, as well, so to me, the Bulls are immensely scarier than they were a year ago. I don't get the thread to be honest. In that Heat series, they had issues SCORING. The D will always be around.
This team could barely handle Indiana in the 1st round last year yet you think they can handle every team in the West??
Yep, this is it. They can't elevate their play because they're already playing at their peak of their talent. They really struggled with indy last year and I think if they played them again, they probably lose.
do you mean Atlanta? because they went up 3-0 vs the Pacers and won 4-1. Plus, again, "This team" added Rip Hamilton which will help spacing for Boozer.
Still not sure they have enough scoring to be honest. Injuries are no excuse but...Rose has already been out. Hamilton is in and out. Deng has a torn ligament in his non-shooting wrist. Boozer, I'm not counting on that guy. Defense will be there most of the times, offense...meh. Comes and goes. I don't know. Cautiously optimistic?
? they dominated the Pacers in the 4th Q...an d won the first 3 games. That's how stellar defenses work in the playoffs. They clamp down in the 4th.
They beat them 4 -1 but they didn't dominate them like I thought. Wasn't all of them close? Either way I don't think they could handle every single team in the West. I definitely don't see them beating Oklahoma City.
Well, struggled offensively. But a 3-0 lead is a 3-0 lead. And Game 5 was a blowout. And, what about the Chi/Mia series. I thought Miami would dominate the Bulls more than that, personally. Bulls won big in Game 1. Game 4 was overtime. Game 5 they had a big lead going into the 4th. If you say the Bulls struggled in a 4-1 series to the Pacers, then Miami struggled with the Bulls. Miami did to the Bulls what the Bulls did to the Pacers.
C'mon, you can't compare the Heat struggling with Chicago to Chicago struggling with Indiana in those close games. The Bulls had the homecourt against Miami why would you think Miami would dominate them?
