Terrence Williams posted this earlier today about the Rockets player intro video. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Hey @<a href="https://twitter.com/clutchfans">clutchfans</a> I see @<a href="https://twitter.com/HoustonRockets">HoustonRockets</a> took me all the way out the introduction game video sheesh, I'm slowly getting kicked out..SUCKS</p>— Terrence Williams (@TheRealTWill) <a href="https://twitter.com/TheRealTWill/status/163001614263791616" data-datetime="2012-01-27T20:53:07+00:00">January 27, 2012</a></blockquote> <script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Here is my amateur filming of the revised version. There are several new highlights and different music (song changed to U2 - Desire). He's still in there, just not featured like before. T-Will's slam at the final kick of the video was replaced by one from Chandler Parsons. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Vj-KXj_hmac" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> ... and here is the first one for comparison (thanks, batkins!). The song is Pearl Jam - Go. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/noOhoIu3nlc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I don't want to make this a T-Hype bashing thread but T-Hype too worried about tweeter and things outside of his control. Maybe easier said than done but don't worry about it and not a big deal imo. Are Adrien and Thabeet upset too?
Terrence Williams @TheRealTWill Reply Retweet Favorite ยท Open @clutchfans that's called a huge edit but all good watch me be the biggest cheer leader today like I have been...whoop
I updated the original post to include batkins' video that had the original version of the intro also. As far as the clips working with the music, I prefer the original one (Pearl Jam).
seems very similar. Not a major edit as TWill says. He must be mad that he lost the last slam spot to Parsons. That was a nice slam by TWill.
the one thing i look forward to every opening night is these videos, their video editing is some of the best I've seen period. But this year's was "meh" to me, I think CCR can do a better one that can persuade others to go to games. my all time favorite is still the one from our "mega" offseason in 07-08 <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/3c49XFs2G3E?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/3c49XFs2G3E?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> btw, the first one is still the best of the 2 from the original post, even if its minor changes.
^^ yeah, that one was stunning. I love the Worrel and Harlan voice overs. The new one is too busy. I like the player profile shots followed of live footage with voice over history. But this team has no playoff history, so I guess they went with video editing flash cover-ups for lack of history...and the logo parade at the beginning and ending is sickening. It reeks of an intro for non-playoff teams. so sad. and of course the music in the 07-08 version was perfect. Wasn't that the first year they had the rocket shoot off with the smoke?
I think it was the year before, 06-07. I remember they had it when we got the suite on 4/1/07 vs. the Jazz.
That's a very good one. The playoff ones are my favorites though... especially 2009 (probably because I love epic music). funny u mentions those also, I've been watching most of the past few years since they came up as related search results when I found the one I posted above.
