Despite being a die-hard Rockets' fan, a flop is a flop and needs to be discouraged, not justified. I think the refs have done a better job this year than the past few seasons of not calling flops (still have a ways to go, though).

    Is this post 1k? Sweet.

Why the heck did they make the Grizz wear ugly rec league uniforms? The Grizz don't have a "historical" uniform, do they? Big Country didn't wear that crap.

    Wow, they suck at flopping.

I don't think there's anything wrong with a player screaming, taking an extra step backwards when someone else bumps his shoulder into him, or falling on the floor once they beat the offensive player to the spot. You have to remember when a 260 lb. player is driving full speed at the basket, the safest most effective way to stop him is by beating him to the spot, and absorbing the initial contact while falling backwards. That's not a flop in my book.

Now those Clippers are blatantly flopping thinking the more you flop the more calls you get. They are quickly losing credibility with the officials.

Too talented and athletic to act like the Argentina Olympic Team... Wonder why Scola and Ginobili don't go into acting full-time...

Boozer does a vocal flop everytime he's within 10 ft....He screams "Aye..." annoyingly.... Good thing is , they usually don't call it....

Yea it's annoying. I would only do it if it worked, and it seemed to work for Boozer.

They should pay royalties to Battier, the inventor of the charge foul.

I completely agree. What you just explained is actually good basketball. That's position defense and not allowing a player to take over your "space." What you described is a charge, and a legal one at that.

What I am referring to is perfectly displayed by our very own Kevin Martin. He is the kind of player that would take two dribbles into the defender, push his elbow into the player's chest and then flop backwards while taking an off-balance jumpshot "drawing the foul". That is not basketball. There are way more examples to be given, but since Houston gets to see it all of the time, that was the best example. He has been getting 80 percent less of those calls this season (even not getting calls he DESERVES, now). But, whether you're a Clipper, Laker, Jazz or Rocket, a blatant flop is a blatant flop.

If you honestly believe that Kevin Martin (offensively and defensively) does not "blatantly flop" then you are justifying a flop because he is on our side.

Again, I love the Rockets and watch every single game, win or lose.

They should fine them after the games... sorta of like fining them for a fragrant foul afterwards.... How hard could it be to determine if the flop is blatant and fine their azzez....

 What does that have to do with those floppers?

It's amazing people still automatically equate taking a charge and flopping. Taking a charge is getting good defensive position by anticipating the offensive player's move. Flopping is fabricating a foul when there isn't.

Wow, people are actually complaining about the Clippers getting their ways.

    That's Respect.

Don't confuse relevance w/ respect....I for one DO NOT respect the Clippers.
Seriously though, this is getting annoying.

Usually a team only has one or two floppers, the Heat last year was pretty annoying with 3..

BUT THE WHOLE FRIGGN TEAM IS FLOPPING..EVERYONE IS FALLING

Am I watching a basketball game or the opening scene from Saving Private Ryan ????

    Huh?

The only player that hasnt flopped on the rockets was Hayes and currently, probably Bear, everyone else does including Lowry.

Scola and Martin are thieves at it.

That was so funny. "The Charmin" - where the hell did he come with that name? What about the "clutch flop" to seal the game? So funny.

Disgusting how many times the Clippers got rewarded for their flopping against Memphis.

The second video was much better.
