Again his play isn't anything like Buds, we liked Bud mainly because of his scoring.

CP is definitely the most interesting story to watch with the Rockets this year, along with Lowry, and eagerly waiting to see what, if anything, MMorris gives us.

With Parsons' length and hops, I am hoping that we see him matched up defensively against Dirk when we play Dallas - not necessarily because I think he will be a 'Dirk-Stopper' as much as I want to see how he does in that matchup, just to see how it would go.

Plus, other guys, Randolph in Memphis, heck even Kobe if we are just talking about funsies. It certainly seems that McHale has confidence that he can guard at least three different positions on the floor. I am sure some of those guys will kick his rookie butt, but wouldn't it be nice to discover that this kid can actually D up on the elite offensive players and really annoy them and get under their skin?

On that note, I don't think anyone has really mentioned this, but CP really has a sort of wild-eyed in-your-face dickish quality about him, which frankly I love. I suspect he will wind up eventually being one of those players that everyone around the league 'hates', but would all love to have on their team. Maybe like a less evil Bruce Bowen..?

Oh well, good times, good time.. :)

I agree; I really want to see how well he does against those match ups that have been plaguing us for years. He has already done well against Bonner, Capt'n Jack, Durant (who am i missing?). It's a shame we wont be able to see how well he plays against Melo.

Man I see that fire in his eyes too! I remember when Kevin Martin missed a defensive assignment in the Bucks game and he started yelling at Martin, a rookie.

It's not as if he's scoring 20 a night on 60% shooting. He's actually getting minutes in spite of his shooting struggles. He's on the court because is of his size, smarts, and relentless hustle play - none of which are likely to change.

Thought I'd bump this up as Chandler takes his game to another level under Kevin. At 23, Parsons already has established himself as an elite defender with a great feel for the game....

    He has been solid overall.

They added another rookie to the rookie game to accommodate Lin but it was Cole and not Parsons. Ridiculous, though my guess is that since Lin was a backcourt player, they had to add a backcourt player and didn't want to add Shrumpert as that would be too obviously biased.

Why did they add Lin? He shouldn't even be eligible.

I love Parsons. Morey found another gem, no doubt about it, but for the love of god, Chandler, find whoever taught Chuck Hayes how to improve his horrible FT shooting, ASAP, and take however much time you need to get the same result (better would be even better!). And work your tail off developing that corner three that served Battier so well, and you just might end up with a reputation around the league just as good as his. With CP's length, quickness, hops, and lateral movement, there are few wings and post players that Parsons can't D up effectively. Sure, he isn't big enough to stop the really big guys who make their living in the post, those who are left, but he's big enough to give them hell, switch quickly, and bring the double.

Yeah, I just love this guy.

If he can improve his jump shot, which I think he will, he's gonna be a good player for a long time

I can't wait for Parsons to improve his shot during the off-season.
