not kidding, the attorney doesn't even see the file till he sees me. immediately says the da will throw it out. she wanted to fight. she wanted to wait for the "evidence" to get back. i would have had to bond on my case which was only $500 total bond, but i would have had to pay the tickets to leave. if i didn't pay the tickets but bonded out, i would have been in limbo. my responsibility, not complaining

Wow, 6th post since December 2009...where have you been? So many oldtimers coming back recently...nice.
i know dude, i'm already scared. on this subject, i was in there with a nasa engineer who was laid off. he had just gotten a job as a plant operator and that would have damn near replaced his income. he got a dui. he was very upset, he lost the job. oth, i was in there with a guy who is a crane operator. now anyone who follows the classifieds knows this job is in heavy demand in houston and pays a lot for a non degreed job. his company has been letting him off and helping him, he had about five dui's in his history
that dude's mom was straight up cougar. some dude had her picture in his bunk from the sunday 1-15-12 paper
the television showed local stations cnn, and foxnews. needless to say, telemundo at noon was extremely popular. you know what i'm talking about
sucks not to be wearing warm clothes prior. Last time i spent the night was in the late 90s....tickets/fight. Downtown Houston...i get moved upstairs into a cell w/about 5 latinos & a brother. I can speak espangnol so that was useful. Could not sleep, too much yelling/loud conversations between cells....until...someone's voice, loud enough to carry over the whole floor's cacophony (including the tiny ass tv at the end of the hall), rang out with "Yo, shut the f**k up, Martin's on!!!" Floor was quiet for an hour (thank god they repeated Martin back-to-back. I love you Martin Lawrence. BTW, a year later one of the Latinos (Guatemalan) showed up @ my company looking for work! I had a good laugh w/him & passed.
Mad street cred bro. Much respect. The closest I've been to jail was when this one time at Cheesecake Factory when I illegally parked in the manager's spot since the parking lot was full. The security guard then threatened to tow my car. In the end, my car wasn't towed. But a really close call. I have been called "Thug Life" by my friends ever since that day.
gotta love texas.. no state income tax so the roving tax collectors throwing people in jail. What is the point of the police in texas except revenue? I would like to see the arrest and tickets per capita numbers for texas. sorry OP its not all the USA is like that. You just happen to live in a police state. I can buy cocaine over the counter at this 'club' on richmond and shepard. I can buy crack pretty much any street corner in houston, but god forbid I go 36 in a 35. They will spend more time and effort on traffic stops because guess why? It pays!! Why are they going to do something non profitable like stop a murder or robbery? Where's the money in that? Not the only reason but one of the reasons I left texas. It's a shame. csb My brother in law was at a restaurant in the city of shenandoah (north houston) and this womans seat was crowding up on their table. he asked the woman if she could move her seat back. She was rude and told him to f-off. He said 'you dont have to be a b!tch' and she called the cops and they arrested him. He didnt want to fight it paid the fine and now has a police record. They were looking to foster some at risk youth and they can't due to his 'police record'
dude there is so much more to this story that i don't want to get into, let's just say my ass should have been at home before meeting police officers
he had more, he got it out of the car, it was night, it made it to grass before he was tackled (yes he was tackled). i was already in cuffs when he tried to get it out. that's why i'm quoting "evidence" there is none. btw, they gave him a felony tampering with evidence charge
Dang dude, did you know your buddy had it on him? Unpaid traffic tickets are just asking for a search. Glad you are ok PGab. DD
