just did mine, well, my dad did, he's the accountant of the family and does mine every year. Printed my W2 at work beginning of the week, filed it electronically, should be getting my refund in about a week.

Do you guys report your band income? We do and writing off enough music expenses so I don't have to pay taxes on it is a gigantic pain in the ass. I dread it every year.

I can get literally every other document I need online now, but not my W2 just yet.

We always have to file extensions because we have to wait around for a bunch of documents every year.

    GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Just got a bill from Hyundai, saying that I am being charged almost $700 in *PROPERTY TAXES* on my LEASED Sonata...

I looked it up online, and yes, Texas is one of the few states which charges people property taxes on their leased vehicles.

    When did this happen?

I have had a few leases in the last 5 years or so and this is the first I have ever seen/heard of it.

Is it new? How did they sneak that one by?

I am not against paying my fair share of taxes, but paying property tax on property I do not OWN just royally P155E5 ME OFF

And I can just imagine the bill some people ar egetting for leasing their nice Lexus or BMW or whatever, gonna be 2 grand or more for some of those people.

    Ridiculous.

I had never heard about this. We leased our SUV for 3 years before buying it and I don't recall paying property tax. But I heard it could be rolled into the payment or something so maybe I didn't notice.
I found the code on it and it looks like you are exempt if it's just a personal vehicle though.
