one of the better riffs i've seen from Mitt- if he can keep this up, it will make an impact, and the world will see that while rome burned, President Nero fiddling around on the golf course; while the ship of state ran aground, President Schettino scrambled over the side, and hailed a cab for the back nine.

    --
Mitt Romney says President Obama's State of the Union address showed he was "detached from his own reality." Romney blasted Obama during a campaign event in Orlando, Florida.

"This is a president who talks about deregulation, even as he regulates. He talks about lowering taxes, even as raises them. He talks about developing all of our energy resources, even as he tries to shut them down. The detachment between reality and what he says is so extraordinary, I was just shaking my head as I watched the TV last night," he said.

Romney on Obama calling for legislation to get his agenda done: "Aren't you the leader of the free world? Why don't you draft some legislation?"

    Heh, detached from reality:

    Buh

    Bye

P.S..the one good thing he may have done, I can say that it's probably due to him if the carried interest loophole doesn't get past he next tax code overhaul....so thanks Mitt!

At least he doesn't have to check his time machine to figure out his stances on abortion, gay marriage and health care. It really is unfortunate Christie didn't run.

I disagree. Without Chris Farley alive and on SNL, a Christie run would have been a complete waste of time.

I love me some Mitt. Normally like Reagan and the Bush gang the Repubs don't act so openly like rich clueless guys on some sort of comedy.

Maybe the faithful (not libertarians their faith is too strong) will actually realize that the GOP is not the friends of people at their income level?

I particularly like "Corporations are people, my friend" - Legally speaking, of course, he's correct, but it's so politically tone deaf to say it and in that patronizing fashion it's almost a parody of itself.

he honestly could not come across worse if he was reading one of trder jorge's goofy old posts on dining with Mexican Industrialists.

basso - How do you rationalize the Republican party putting up what is basically a pile of **** against Obama? Do the Republicans even want the White House? Did they get paid off by some high powered billionaire to not show up to these elections and make complete assclowns of themselves?

Bobby Moynihan could do a killer Christie. His Snooki impression was hysterical.

caught in a landslide, no escape from reality.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Electric car battery maker Ener1 filed for bankruptcy Thursday, three years after receiving a $118.5 million grant from the U.S. government.
Ener1 (HEVV), which makes a variety of energy storage devices under different subsidiaries, is the parent company of EnerDel, the car battery division that received the government grant to build a manufacturing plant in Indianapolis.

The company said the "voluntarily initiated" bankruptcy filing won't impact any of its subsidiaries, including EnerDel, and that operations in its factories will continue as normal.
"The restructuring will not adversely impact their employees, customers and suppliers," the company said in a press release.
