Funny how quickly people forget what Melo was doing in Denver. Prior to him getting there, the franchise was terrible. Didn't really look like they were going anywhere. He led them to the postseason almost every year he was there, including a conference finals appearance. He never really had that second star. The guy is a playmaker. He is an amazing offensive player who is capable of step up big in crunch time. He is just on a franchise which is in a terrible overall situation (they are a collection of players rather than a team).
Yeah every franchise he's on is terrible. Of course his franchise playing as a collection of players rather than a team has nothing to do with him. Never mind the fact that the Nuggets basically exchanged him straight up for Felton, Gallo and Chandler and went from 0.500 to 31-16.
Melo cant lead a team, the Nuggets were going nowhere when George Carl had to stop coaching to get treatment for cancer.
No doubt Anthony will not be worth his 20+ million But make no mistake...... Anthony is a better player than Gallo......New York has a coaching problem, they don't use their players the right way..... they don't have a system....or the system sucks lollipops
If they could, Morey or any other GM in the league would add Melo and his $65 contract to their team in a heartbeat. There's really no sensible argument here.
