    Rockets trade: Scola, Dragic, Budinger, Hill, NY 2012 1st

    Lakers trade: Gasol

    Why Rockets do it: Consolidate and upgrade. You get worse at backup PG and C to upgrade PF and you may not re-sign Dragic and Hill anyway.

    Why Lakers do it: Dragic becomes the starting PG immediately and provides much needed athleticism and defense that they lack at the positon and doesn't mind playing off Kobe. Scola isn't much of a downgrade on offense at PF (with 4 plus defenders around him his defense is hidden better than next to Kevin Martin) and their depth gets improved with Bud and Hill. NY pick gets them the best draft pick they've had for a while. Saves ~8 mil in salary and luxury tax.

    Couldn't find random trade thread and this is possible with Jazz and Rockets being able to each other.

    If this were a real trade there would at least be players names or sources in the title so chill.

    No it's not, I checked 3 times! Yes you have to give up something to get something. We can get our future back-up PG with our NY pick since it will probably be in the 7-12 range. All the good SG / SF will be gone. Kabongo or some1 like that would be nice.
