Yes my friends most of us including myself have said Bosh is overhyped but consider his stats since Wade went out. 26.6 PPG on 60% from the field. For the season even with the other guys taking many of his shots he is averaging over 21 PPG. I think offensively the guy is still one of the best big men in the game. Its his rebounding and defense that needs to pick up.....but he is a very skilled big man and those are rare this day and age. I think if he was on a team like the Rockets he'd still be averaging 24-25 ppg and 8-9 rebounds and we wouldn't be complaining.
Always shook my head when I read **** like "two and a half men" or "Big two". Bosh would be considered the best PF if he'd play on a mediocre team. He could average 25/10 with 2 blocks easily and has put on huge stats in past games.
I believe he is a top 3 offensive PF (with Dirk and Aldridge), but he is not the best all-around PF in the game. I might give that to Love, who can post-up, shoot, rebound, pretty good defender, and not a bad passer at all.
Bosh is a so-so 3rd option and a pretty good 2nd if that makes any sense. he is talented enough to be the second best player on a championship caliber team but his game is misused as a role player type guy. You could plug Scola into that team and the Heat would do just as well with him as the 3rd option on offense. If Heat do not win championship this year, look for them to move Bosh to fit their needs. example: Dalembert/Scola/Dragic for Bosh
If it's his rebounding and defense that need to pick up...why is he a big upgrade over Scola? *checks some stats* WTF happened to Scola's rebounding this year? Ok, my point is moot - but weren't we sold on Bosh as a guy who had both offense and defense and rebounding? I'd be upset if we were paying 17-20 million for Bosh and all we got was Amare-lite.
Talent-wise, definitely an upgrade from Scola even without this year's drop off. Personality-wise, I'd take Scola everyday.
Really???..... I'd take Bosh in that department too... Bosh is an emotional leader... He holds himself accountable... Knows when he isn't producing.....And calls it like he sees it..........Great Rockets Material IMO
Yes, many people here seem to believe he ain't a good person just based on the fact that he plays with Bron and Wade. He never made bad comments and always seems like a good, respectable person with a team-mentality.
The hate came after we couldn't get him. The guy requires a double team in the post which creates opportunities for his teammates.
It cracks me up when people talk about athlete's personalities like they know them when the cameras are off. Anyways, I've always believed that Bosh would be a great 2nd option, or sidekick. If he were here, he'd probably be the #1 option which would maybe take this team to a couple of 2nd rounds, and maybe a conference finals. I made a post last night in the random trade ideas thread asking opinions on what it would take to get Wade or Bosh if the Heat fail again this year. How long does Riley wait before he shakes it up and builds around Lebron?
I don't think he's looked bad because of being the 3rd option or mental toughness... I think he's looked bad because of piss poor coaching.
The hate came because the Rockets couldn't get him and because he's on the same team as Lebron. Bosh is a stud. Top 10 player.
Is this because of the Cavs game? If the Cavs coach hadn't fogotten Kyrie was on the bench in the 4th and gotten him in earlier. It might have been another L for Miami.
He played for the Raptors for years. While he did come close to 25 & 10, he has never come to close to 2 blocks per. I don't think you win a title with him as your best player. Amongst PFs, he ranks 5th in PER and EWA. His last year in Toronto, he led all PFs in PER and 3rd in EWA (probably first in EWA/48, since he only played in 70 games). I'm wondering if Miami is really that much better off having Wade & LeBron. Seems like the best thing would be to trade one for more pieces.
Typical dumb post from a know nothing poster. Why in the hell would they trade a old, slow,no defense playing scola for bosh even with dragic and dally?
No, no he is not. He's an all star, but no superstar. I'm copying this from someone else who wrote this on these forums, but: Derick Rose Kobe Bryant Lebron James Chris Paul Dwight Howard Dwyane Wade Dirk Nowitzki Chris Bosh Those are all superstars, but one of those names doesn't fit in, and its bosh. You can not call someone who is the 3rd option on a team a superstar..
