Hey guys, this is my second post!
I wanted to hear what yall think about the up and coming Wizards?
Now I know they just fired their coach and they have the worst record in the league BUT think about their current assets and future possibility!
    1. They are set for ANOTHER #1 pick
    2. With that pick, they can select Anthony Davis from Kentucky (he is CRAZY GOOD)
    3. They have John Wall, Crawford, and McGee to build around
    4. They have a lot of cap space to throw around
    5. Id say give them a good leading coach and they can start to do some damage
    6. I also think they have some good draft picks coming up too

I know that they are low on confidence and they are the laughing stock of the NBA but with the right coach, I can see all of that changing next year

    What do you guys think?

Tip: Threads about non-Rockets teams go in the NBA dish area.

The thing about NBA players are that IQ plays a huge role in the team's performance since one player makes such a big impact (relative to other sports). There are great NBA coaches, but I think people overrate the coach's effect on a team sometimes. If they guys are knuckleheads (and they seem like it), they might need a big roster shakeup just to change the team culture.

Damnit. Such a nice and well-mannered response. Anything I say will be considered assholish from this point on.

You're a new member, so you're going to get flammed. I for one am not an arrogant internet tough guy and would like to say welcome to Clutchfans. :)

This forum is the GARM, for rockets talk. The thread is meant for the NBA dish. :)

I've always liked the Wiz. I agree they have a good future ahead of them. Made another good step by firing a moron coach!

Yes, that's been pointed out. And yes, saying "wrong forum" is not spam.

Haha seriously, I think 5 people saying nothing but "WRONG FORUM" is worse than actually posting in the wrong forum.

You are pretty pushy. You just showed up and you want to change one or more forums? What would you do, like, create a STYX forum or something?

I feel like anything I say at this point in time would be like that guy that first stands up to do the slow clap, but unlike the movies no one joins him. :D

Sorry just had to throw out my bit of nonsense. Welcome to CF fellow Rockets fan!

Anticipating the move to the Dish, I'll answer the question at hand since so many of my college (W&M) buddies are in DC....

Washington is only "on the rise" in that they're in the cellar with nowhere else to go. I'm dumbfounded that management learned nothing from the Arenas era and drafted his clone to be their new Fools Gold franchise player. Volume Shooting PGs are the worst possible guys to build around.

And Washington isn't going anywhere until they finally find a new star big. That's something they haven't had since the Webber/Howard days, and even then they were still a donut team since Chris refused to get his hands dirty as a C.
