LOL why is that? They just decreased their depth from 3 good players to two. Do they even have another guy to play the four? And please don't tell me DH will be enough to carry the Knicks, if James and Bosh can't carry Miami DH and Melo certainly won't be able to carry NYC.
Huh??? Worst case scenario, the Rockets DO, indeed, get a first round pick, just that it'll be closer to the end of the first round than it otherwise would be. We're talking about a difference from the #16 pick to the #23 pick. Even then, I don't think a March 15 trade deadline deal by the Knicks to acquire Howard (which I still say is highly unlikely and is probably just a negotiating tactic by Orlando) would vault the Knicks up the Eastern Conference standings in the remaining six weeks of the season. Maybe a handful of spots, but not enough to move that pick obligation more than 5-6 spots down in the draft order.
I think this would be addition by subtraction. Amare and Melo will never co-exist well. While Howard and Melo could be a great team and Howard would replace everything that Tyson brings.
Can i just say how much fun it is to root against the Knicks' success this season. It's like I have a season-long side bet going. It's an added bonus to the season. I freaking love following their failure with strict attention.
Glad to see you guys are enjoying it. I've been rooting against the Knicks ever since they started saying all that **** about Lebron coming to save them because they deserve him.
Not necessarily. Charlotte will win its share (30-40%) of games. Who better to win against than NY at home?
Bobcats dont have Augustin. What a shame. They're missing DJ White too, he has been averaging 25 MPG - 10 pts 5 rb so far for the Bobcats. So they are missing a starter and a key reserve. I Hope they can still pull it off.
What is our draft pick situation, can any1 give us a nice overview of our 2012 first and second round picks, including possible from other teams like the NY pick.
Right now we have NY 1st rd '12 and MIN 2nd rd '12. Our 1st goes to NJ (lottery protected) Williams trade. Our 2nd goes to DET (top 40 protected) Budinger trade draft night. As of how things are now we'd pick #15 and #42.
it's the opposite. The pick is lottery protected which means if we don't make the playoffs and are a lottery team we get to keep our pick. Accordingly, if we make the playoffs we lose our pick.
