In physical anthropology there are three classifications of humans. Mongoloid, Negroid and Caucasoid. Next time you hear the term Hispanic, please ask the speaker to clarify accordingly.
I think it's way more accurate to go by ethnicity than race, as different ethnic groups within races can be radically different. The only reason we group by race instead is because of the unfortunate way most black people ended up here. Almost every white person has a general idea of what country their ancestors came from. Not many black people can say the same.

A "latino" is someone from a Spanish-speaking country in Latin America (not Belize, not Brazil's Portuguese). They are closer to pure Indigenous tribes from MesoAmerica and the natives in deeper parts of non-urban areas... you know, where Justin Timberlake might be a real word to them?
What? Really? Most white people i ask what they are just say "white." And when i ask for more specifics, they generally don't have any clue and guess something like Irish or German. And of course like 99% of white people will be like "my g-g-g-g-g-great grandfather was Cherokee indian" lol Where as black people can pretty much say their ancestors are from Africa.

Maybe. I know that back when I was in Mexico, we were "latinoamericanos" because we spoke Spanish... but that couldn't include Brazil because they spoke Portuguese, mainly. Tu mamá dice "HOLA."
