Hou trades Bud, Hill Minn trades Randolph We tell Randolph he can be the first backup C and second backup PF. Rick gets Bud and Hill. We free up backup minutes for Twill, too.
Id like to get Iggy if it didnt cost too much but they have him overpriced for an aging player. So forget it. I think actually right now is a great time to move Dragic, Scola and Morris for a real good player to some team. Rockets could really get a good player or draft pick back. Dragic is a starting PG on other teams, Morris is a young prospect, Scola is a solid starter on almost every team in the league.
Broussard on ESPN suggest the Rockets /Lakers revisit trade and send Lowry, Scola, Lee or Pau!?!?!?!?!?!? I always thought Broussard was and idiot but this takes the cake.
It would make the Lakers better. That means it's a good trade to ESPN, despite what it may do to the other team. And actually, it was just Scola/Lowry for Gasol and Darius Morris (who is that?):
I would consider Dragic, Scola, and Martin for Pau. And the Lakers maybe should too, especially if they could flip Martin for Granger.
I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility. Nice, clean trade for both teams, Indy gets the perfect piece to complement George. Granger's value is declining because of George's emergence. Don't know if Indy could get much else for him. Possibly Iggy straight up but then again, Philly doesn't need a 3, they need a 2. We may be able to flip Martin for Granger right now but don't want to anymore unless we trade Parsons/Morris.
All of the BSPN'ers are coming up with trades where we send Lowry and others for an All Star just out of his prime---Pierce, Pau. Yes, Morey has shown desperation to get an All Star, but Lowry is 1.5 years past being a throw-in, and is just improving. The ESPN guys always seem to find a way to upgrade Boston or LA or the Team du Jour. Do we really want Goran as our starting PG and give up Lowry? No. But watching ESPN, you wouldn't know it. The other Boston/NY/LA/whatever team fans would jump on this on the message boards: "Did you see that? We can get Lowry! Have you seen him play? YES!" Followed by the sobering, "No way should Houston give up Lowry." Damn straight.
I don't know if somebody posted this but on a thread i just read it said there are 5 teams interested in pierce and houston was one of them. Pierce to the Houston Rockets for Kevin Martin and Patrick Patterson/Jordan Hill
it looks like Minnesota is starting to sweat over KLove a little bit... http://www.startribune.com/sports/blogs/137946583.html
From what I understand, Dalembert will only be available to trade after March 1st; is this correct? Also, how does the top 14 protected pick to New Jersey effect our ability to trade a 2013 1st round pick? If we miss the playoffs, are we not allowed to propose such offers until after the season? After the draft? When?
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7bmkwbd I think this one is better, and may be we can throw the right to sign Sergio Lull in there since the Rubio need a mate to keep him in Minny
I too thought the same thing about Wesley Johnson (wrong place, coach, and teammates - he is really an all-star waiting to happen) RA is the coach now, plays with an all-star plus a couple of future all-stars and he still sucks. Stats are down from last year. Starting to think bust. He does have a team option for next two years but 4M+per is a lot for a potential bust when our last starting small forwards make less than 1Mper. Sergio Llull has more value than just a throw it. RA knows Hill and Thabeet and that is not good for us. maybe Randoph and 2013 2nd round pick ...for... Dragic and Budinger -Dragic and Budinger both know RA system. -Dragic can play the off-gaurd, too. a real need for the T-Wolves (he is not going to sign here knowing he will not start - so let get something for him - a 2nd round pick from a bad team is better than a low 1st rounder because the player is on a minimum contract) -Hill has all but played himself out of the rotation - after the trade deadline he will not see the court at all. Randoph maybe an answer going forward.
