I don't think the problem with Budinger is "work ethic", if anything, judging by his game, he is a really hard worker, his fundamentals are really solid. what is missing is that he doesn't really have a "feel" for the game. Everything he does is "by the book", textbook stuff, you never get the sense that budinger will make a play from nothing, or that he will make something happen. So even if he scores 30 points, nothing he does really is a game changer.
I'm not too sure about that. I think Budinger has all the tools required to be a good player, he just doesn't seem to have the drive. For example, his regression this season and his abysmal performance for the most part of last season. It seemed like in order to get Budinger to perform at least decently, the requirements are to let him play as much as he wants on a consistent basis even though he is terrible, then give him the starting spot. When he got the starting spot for a moment he looked decent, like he actually cared. Now at the beginning of this season I see nothing out of him. He lacks passion and fire. The Yoyo made a great point regarding the improvement. Budinger's value dropped because he has had 0 improvement.
Throw in T-will. Suns is a team where he can actually get some playing time, because Shannon Brown and Jared Dudley been playing terrible so lately.
Oh well, he really never showed anything all that special. And his athleticism has always been waaay overstated. He can jump. That's it. Slower than dog**** laterally.
The NBA is a job, and in a job, you need to adapt to your boss. McHale is Chase's boss, and Chase needs to put some big boy pants on and adapt to him. Try telling your boss that he needs to treat you with a better attitude in order to increase your productivity...you would be canned, and so is Chase...

If anything, he's regressed in terms of the diversity in his game.
He's a natural athlete (vertically), but not a natural basketball player. I can sense the same with Jordan Hill, his UofA buddy. Jordan Hill will probably stay in the NBA due to the combination of size and athletic ability... he's just capable enough Budinger should go back to volleyball and make his name there, I know he wants it.
He is vertically athletic and a natural basketball player too. He just lacks aggression and toughness.
C-Bud has skills, something wrong with his "motor." May be in the water at University of Arizona. As one poster put it, "Jordan Hill not only looks like a girl, he plays like one."
True to this. Chase has a new boss now and needs to play to suit that boss. People don't need to make excuses for him, he hasn't played as well as we've seen in the past.
come on guys you are being too harsh this is just the junior year jinx.. and next year it will be senior year jinx, and after that it will be out of the league jinx, and then the too tall for china jinx etc
The flying rooster needs to nut up and play with aggression and intensity. He also needs to stop being hesitant taking the ball to the rim and shooting the 3. He's good on the offensive end when confidence is there.
If he can't get motivated for his contract year, I don't know what will motivate him. If Eddie Curry can get up for a contract.
by letting their talent walk, so they could tank and get a good draft pick... maybe we could bring in Ryan Bowen to work with Bud... lol
Dont we have like 1 practice every month almost? These analysts dont have any ****ing idea what they're talking about...
Chase is a honky version of Jacoby Jones. Thank God DD doesn't run the Rockets. Can you say Wiz/T-Wolves bad. All scoring/no defense, yeah thats always been a ticket to a championship in every sport.
Morey: Parsons simply outworking Budinger, people are not happy with him and imo he's a lost cause and I don't care about him anymore. If he's not willing to step up his game and fight, you shouldn't be playing sports. Goodbye Bud, it was fun having you.
Dunno. Lost their pillar at FA, end of a dynasty etc. No bad team would trade for Budinger, though. They certainly wouldn't trade a pick for him and, if they happen to have a serviceable player they can part with, they'd want a pick in return; in which case, it's more the pick than Budinger. Budinger has little to no trade value.
