They do have potential, but that's a completely different argument as to wich team is better and more talented overall right now.

Well that depends on what your definition of mediocrity is. Can we make the playoffs? Yes. Will this roster win a championship? Not likely. we can all agree that we need a superstar to do that? And since no big name wants to come here the only other option would be to draft one.

I don't hink anyone is flipping on this game. We know the Rockets are a better team than Minnesota. McHale is pushing defense and it's finally sticking but offensively we reverting back to what Adelman ran last year and that is great coaching by McHale.

Rick is a HOF coach. True enough Mchale has done a good job coaching defense, but alot of that credit goes to the aquisition of big Sam (the 7 footer that Adelman never had). Offensivley, we're running the same stuff from last year. So yes the Rockets are playing well. And no, the Rockets would be better off with Rick Adelman coaching them this year.

He's not in the HOF. Mchale's the only HOF coach between the two of them.

Also considering Minny got their asses handed to them after they played zone against 4 guards I beg to differ we'd be better off with Adelman coaching this team.

No they wouldn't because CBud would still be starting along with Hill.

Not really, I would trade rosters in a minute. They have drafted poorly, but they have quite a few talented players and an elite player in Love.

Yep. He beat him in a way that was Ricks weakness too. Matchups and roster minutes doled out to the right players.

Record reflects we have better players. We would take the Superstar on their team and this team would be a contender in the west. Thats about it off their team better..

The Rockets are off to a better start than last year under Adelman. In fact the Rockets were under .500 last year until Morey forced Adelman to break up his rotation by makes trades, then miraculously the Rockets went on a run.

Rick did not have Dalembert last year, but he had Hayes and Battier.

I think Rick is a good coach but not without flaws.

you can not defend quick guards with big men without going zone defense.

Its simple yes. Rick has Loyalties and will ride his players to a lose oppose to benching them while Mcgenius will bench a cold Martin and Scola in the 4th. Lowry, Dragic and Lee in the Fourth was also a damn good move

No because Martin would be out there in the 4th even if he is not sinking his shot. We all know Martin does not show up in the 4th

Webster and Lee haven't played at all this season and the latter's a no show, and Beasley, Miller, and Johnson are terrible players. Barea's the only real loss, but he wouldn't have made that much a difference.

If Rick would have stayed we would be 12-5 right now.

And you can't defend shooters with a zone.

    RA should've adjusted.

I think it just comes down to our young players were better than theirs. Thats basically who was out there to close out the game.
