I was at the game on sat...Halftime was as embarrassment 12 year old girls playing basketball as Aggies vs longhorns really??? Clutch trying to make half court behind the back shots...This is the best they can come up with pathetic!!! You think you would see this **** in LA or New York sad...
I would understand if you upset about lack of entertainment in the playoffs at halftime, but come on, a reg season game? Actually, I had no idea anyone actually payed attention to half time skits.
New York has had some basketball tourneys at halftime. They even had a game of Simon Says that had to be cut short because the players were waiting to shoot, lol.
Turbo was much more entertaining than Clutch. I remember an interview with Clutch's wife a few years ago and she said the guy doing Turbo gave up because of the wear and tear on his body.
I miss Turbo. Clutch the Bear is a very bad bear. That bear grabbed my ass at a game once and literally left bruise marks. The Rockets are cheap when it comes to half time acts. Sometimes they're decent and occasionally great (Quickchange), but often they stage free exhibitions like that game. They also get the bonus of guaranteed seats for those girls' families. I once saw them do an aerobics class with women in their 40's. Yes, I'm sure they sold out a section of seats to those women and their families, but it was a pathetic display for a NBA halftime show.
I never really liked that bear. We're probably the franchise that worst exploits the space theme. A bear for a mascot? Chinese lettering? WTF is that? I want space damnit.
I think teams have an incentive to put on the crappiest possible halftime show they can get away with. They want people to get out of their seats and buy stuff!
I actually thought the little girls' game was entertaining. <Flamesuit> But Turbo is still here, he's just in the Red Rowdies.
