Press in the URL field. Press again (no need to hold or move your finger, just press once, then press again), and Select All will pop up.
Yeah, that's annoying. When I click into a URL I probably want to change it outright, so it should highlight the whole thing. /first world problem
I was told that the AT&T 3G iPad could be used with AT&T or Verizon but the Verizon 3G could only be used with Verizon. Is that true?
Verizon utilizes EVDO for their 3G, and AT&T uses HSPA. The radios in them are different. If you're in a somewhat rural area, Verizon 3g seems to be pretty much everywhere in comparison to AT&T's
The alternative, which I think is better from what I understand you're trying to do, is to hit the "X" button in the right corner of the URL bar. That will clear it out, and you can type in your new URL.
So I bought the Verizon 3g iPad 2 yesterday. Now I need suggestions on a case. I'd like to find a good one with a keyboard. It doesn't have to protect it from drops because I bought the Walmart protection plan with the iPad.
I just use a sleeve since I love the form factor of the ipad. But if you must have a case and need a keyboard this is the one to get. http://www.amazon.com/Kensington-Pe...7FVW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320950402&sr=8-1 My coworker has this one and its very classy looking without being too heavy. My other coworker has the metal one and it turns the ipad into a mini notebook/netbook which is stupid since you should just get a netbook.
Thanks. I may get 2 cases, one with a keyboard and one without then sell whichever she does not prefer.
I've heard Ipads are not secure enough and no IT department worth a penny would allow ipads to be used in a setting where the data on the ipads needs to be protected.
I've heard that at the end of the rainbow is a pot of gold. Second place is a pot of taters, which some may consider more valuable.
Gentlemen, I am now in this debacle of getting a tablet and have narrowed down my search to two tablets: Samsung Galaxy and iPad 2. I've leaned more towards the Galaxy because of it's ability to add more memory, via memory cards and it's Flash capability (I want to be able to stream Rockets games if I'm away from home). Because I own a ton of Apple products, I feel like I'm inclined to purchase the iPad. I like the apps that are available for the iPad and it's camera resolutions. Both tablets have their pro's and cons for my job. So I'm wondering from those who have either or tablets, please let me know which would be the better purchase.
iPad2 price will likely drop down to compete with newer cheaper tablets after the iPad3 with its higher res screen is available. If you own and like apple products, get the iPad.
If your company uses Microsoft Exchange, the iPads can be wiped remotely , and can also be used under certain group policies that IT companies set. I've used one before, using Citrix Receiver which connects to my employer's cloud network. Seems secure enough to not be that big of a deal. Now as far as official government approval, I'm not sure about that. I do know that some Samsung products are getting that approval now but I can't see why Apple couldn't get it done (if they haven't already, I'm not really the one to talking about Apple )
