It sounds like alot of people want the Texans to pick a big name free agnet WR but what about Lestar Jean who was stashed on the IR before the season started?

Is Toliver with Detroit and if so how did he get there? I thought he was also put on IR before the season started.

i liked Jean during the preseason. Yates hooked up with him a lot during the preseason.
let him play and sit mother effin Jacoby Jones

We waived Toliver. I believe that if you're on IR and then waived, that you're free to sign with and play for another team.

Neither player would make much of a difference for us.

I did not realize TT got waived. Kind of wished he had a real QB at LSU instead of a revolving door.

Lestar Jean could be a big part of this offense next season. During preseason I read that opposing defenses thought Jean was very difficult to cover.

I liked what I saw from Jean when I was out at training camp. I'm not going to doubt that he can be a big part of the offense next season, but I don't think the Texans will want to go into next season banking on that.

Again its a bit of an indictment of the receiving unit that UNDRAFTED receivers are considered prospects and contributors. Forget the Lester Jean, Jeff Maehl, Dorin Dickerson types altogether, draft an average guy in the 2nd-4th round who can give you predictably average production for 3 years which would be an upgrade over Jacoby or the current non-existent #4 WR on the team.

Give Jean another crack at it, but you have to grab a top WR as soon as you can in the draft.

This I agree with. I was impressed with Jean, hoping he can make the squad and surprise.

Although ,we can't just go with who we've got. This offense needs some more weapons badly.

Man, next year is going to be so much fun. Can't wait. My truck's window flags are sitting silently behind the seat.

Well Jacoby was drafted in the 3rd round (2007), so I'm not so sure about the prospect if the Texans draft a WR in the in the 3rd or 4th range anyways. I'd like best available WR in the 1st or 2nd, similar to when we drafted Ben Tate we drafted best available RB.

He sure looked good to me. Johnson, him, Walter, and a draft pick would be very nice.

guys like Victor Cruz and Arian Foster are once in a decade type players who prove all their doubters wrong but yea if Lestar gives us half the production Cruz gave the Giants that would be awesome!

Arian, yes, he is a top 3 RB in the league. While Cruz is good, he isn't on Arian's level and isn't a once in a decade type player.

Cruz is closer than you think. Great route runner, good enough hands, and enough speed to burn you deep. I think he could emerge as a steady top 5 WR in the league if he keeps it up.

Wes Welker, Lance Moore, and Miles Austin were undrafted.

It's not just undrafted guys, though. This guy:

was three picks away from being Mr. Irrelevant.

Gems at Wide Receivers show up in late rounds and undrafted more than any other position, it seems. That's not an argument to not pick a wide receiver high. But Lestar Jean becoming a good receiver would not be a once in a decade player.

he's had a hell of a season and he could be...but i'm still not ready to mention him in Arian's category. Let's see how he responds to having a target on his back next year

Top 5...you are cray. I like Cruz, but in no way does he have the skill set to become anything more than a #2 WR on his own team...MUCH LESS be considered a TOP 5 WR in the league.

I would like to see him beat more than a single man coverage from a nickel back before I would call him an emerging top 5.
