With Kmart shoot 95.4%, good for 2nd in the league. And Lowry not far behind.

Last in the league in attempts. Discuss.

we have no post game and are mostly a jump shooting team. even lowry is more of a drive and kick type of player.
    we also need star treatment.

This has nothing to do with anything in this topic. All these over-used 'tanking' related phrases are driving me nuts.

Wouldn't teams be less inclined to foul good free-throw-shooting teams? Isn't there a negative correlation between a team's free throw percentage and its attempts?

Has Dwight Howard attempted more free throws than our entire team?

K-mart and Luis not getting to the line as much. We need bigs and wings that can put the opposition into foul trouble. It would make life in offense so much easier for us.

It's pretty clear to me that when the league looked into changing the rule regarding those fouls for which it is clear that the attacking player made contact on purpose, the prime example in the videos shown to the refs must have been Kevin Martin.

Now he cannot even buy a foul call when he is actually fouled.

Just another way Stern is out to get us... ;)

you don't think martin doesn't go to the rim?
they drive as much as any other teams. when they don't call it, it discourages them. Lowry and Martin get bumped a lot when they drive.

I've always believe let them play both ways or call it even.

Buy the team, and tank it. Otherwise, you are just trolling.

There are no new rules regarding what is and isn't a foul.

The league refers to the rule changes as "The Kevin Martin Rule". By doing so , they admit that Martin is specifically a target of this new rule .... What does that mean ? Probably nothing .... But Martin has been hammered many times and not gotten calls while others still get these calls. (an example is Tony Parker initiating contact and drawing a foul on Dalembert last night on what should have been a blocked shot).

In hindsight , I'd have been OK with the trade sending him and Scola to NO in exchange for Gasol .... especially with the play of C.Lee of late. The team instantly becomes better both rebounding and defensively.

    Exactly.

    Rockets are unfairly targetted

We are a jump shooting team, most of our shots are from the perimeter.....you don't get many fouls out there, even Lowry is driving to pass back out this year...

That's one reason Stern vetoed the trade (jk). ;)<p>But that rule has really hurt Martin, and if his shot isn't falling, he becomes useless. Last year he could easily get 10pts just on free throws alone.

The spacing is also bad. Having Dalembert and Hill down low closes driving lanes. Last year, we had Chuck playing high post 30 minutes a game. I haven't seen our guys getting hammered with no calls. Our ball movement and spacing are just sub par.
