I wonder why major outlets like Sports.Yahoo.com or CNN don't have this. I guess it isn't that important?
Sadly, he will not be remembered for that amongst the people he didn't help.

I realize this is the internet, but.. if this news is true best wishes to him and his family. I'm not the prosecutor so it's not my place to sit here and assume I know better. The guy made a positive impact on thousands of people regardless.

I knew when he recently gave that interview he thought he would be gone soon. And yes it is possible to have the good of graduating 1000 kids eroded by allowing a dozen to get f'ed in the a.

I always thought/wondered how much longer he would live after he "retired".

If he dies in disgrace, it is his own fault.

I'm not sure whether I agree or disagree with this statement but it has been a crazy few months for paterno. In the end God can judge him.

Sad how one mistake turns you from football legend to devil incarnate.

Poor guy, I genuinely feel for him. He made a mistake, but who doesn't?

Best wishes to his family during this tough time.

He's not the devil, just a flawed human being who had a lapse in judgement and covered a friend that didn't deserve that kind of loyalty.

Of course, we're talking about a Sports Legend. It's not like he's St. Mother Theresa with a dark secret here and there, so he should be viewed accordingly.
