if he did qualify for the rose, wouldnt he just be resigned to a 4 year deal? as a restricted FA can't he only be offered a 4 year deal by other teams and hence OKC wouldnt have to give him that 5th year?

He did indeed. Didn't know this would apply retroactively.

umm fail on your part. he actually does have superstar potential. Of course, he most likely will not become a superstar because he's the third best player on a team that already has 2 superstars.

Is that the new CBA? How do the Heat sign 3, 2 being FA's? With OKC having bird rights and such. also arent they allowed over the soft cap when signing there own guys?

    Need help understanding.

Lebron, Wade, and Bosh all took paycuts to play together.

OKC can probably afford to re sign Harden but someone will likely overpay Ibaka. The minimum a young big with talent and upside gets is about $10M.

If he played more within the game, smarter in getting others involved and improved his outside shot...he could get there. Potential is the key word you used

How many superstars you know come off the bench? Also, how many superstars talking about practice? Not even the game, practice.

    I didn't like Westbrook and still don't.
But I heard don't-know-who on espn the other night, who said that OKC's got time to develop Westbrook, because he has high potential. I then realized that Westbrook, while looking like a douche, has athleticism like few in the league. And with all the issues and second thoughts, OKC is winning!

imo you take ibaka over harden. Offensive sparks like Harden are easier to come across than a skilled bigman like Ibaka

No they did not, IIRC, both Lebron and Bosh got Max deals in sign and trade, and when you factor in Florida's no income tax situation they certainly DID NOT take a pay cut.
