Who do you guys think may excel in the nba that's projected in the mid-to-late first or second round?

Who in the top-15 has the most potential to become a bust?

    Bust:

Perry Jones - Baylor (if his work ethic and game doesn't improve, he seems like he is coasting alot of the time. On the other hand, he could end up being the best player in the draft. His stock has fallen as well).

    Surprises:

Arnett Moultrie - Mississippi State (I think he could be very good NBA power forward, in fact he might rise higher in stock near the end of the season)

Kendall Marshall - North Carolina (He's a very good passer, and should make the transition to the NBA a little easier than most, I could see him having an Andre Miller type career. Really, his jump shot is one of the thing that could improve and make him an even more formidable player)

Doron Lamb - Kentucky (Very good scorer who could become a starter fairly easy in the NBA)

Myck Kabongo - Texas (Could grow into NBA point guard, again like Marshall, he has the tool to be more than serviceable point guard. Though, Kabongo like Marshall, is sort of question mark in regards to becoming a good scorer and being an adequate defender.

    Tony Wroten - Washington

    William Buford - Ohio State

    Marcus Teague - Kentucky

    Tyler Zeller - North Carolina

    Dion Waiters - Syracuse

Fab Melo - Syracuse (A big who doesn't seem like a complete stiff on the floor)

I don't know about becoming stars, but definitely serviceable to good NBA players.

I just hope we get a chance to draft someone like Kawhi Leonard.

I really think this draft has good depth with steal potential because the top 10-15 are pretty set. I think our knicks pick will be very valuable. I like Tony wroten as someone to take a chance on. I also think our Minnesota second rounder will be a great chance for morey to get a steal.

I thought I added him, last night, but Festus Ezeli should also be on the list. He isn't projected to go until the early to mid 2nd round. Most of all, I think he could turn out to be a decent NBA center, as I am more impressed with his game than Thabeet coming out of college.

As a Kentucky fan I would throw Terrence Jones on the bust list but I'm not even sure what his stock is at this point.

I seriously think MKB and Rivers are going to be the best players out of this draft.

Barnes will be a huge bust.

Love Michael Kidd-Gilchrist game. He plays hard every night. He needs to work on his jump shot but I haven o doubt he will be good at the next level. Don't know if he has superstar potential though.

I'm not sure Austin will come out though. A lot Duke guys tend to stay outside of a few guys.

Watch out for Tony Wroten, I feel like he has superstar potential.

I've never projected him to be much in the NBA. Don't see what the fuss is about. He's a SF version of Sheldon Williams.

Does Perry have a work ethic problem? His biggest problems just seems to be that he is too unselfish and doesn't have a killer instinct. Those 2 things can't be changed by having a work ethic.

At times he looks like he could be a stud but he gets his shot blocked way too much at the college level. Imagine how bad it will be at the next level.

What elite-level SF skills does Terrence Jones have? He's not a good long-range shooter, doesn't have great handles, not a great passer, his vertical is nothing special, etc. His main asset is physical strength (for a SF).

Perry Jones III plays like a soft sissy too often.

He's more of a tweener. He has played PF in College. I don't see him having success at the next level.

He was compared to Lamar Odom a lot last year but Odom has better handles, a better shot, a better passer. Well pretty much a better everything except athleticism.

I always laugh when announcers mention him as a potential National Player of the Year candidate. No chance at all.

Quincy Miller has had a good week this week. Playing much better.

It does seem like he does coast through games (that does have something to do with work ethic), because often times he is against very inferior players. The thing is in the NBA, he's going to have to be razor sharp, while I do not think he is a poor worker, I'm just saying that he does seem to have the same type of fire and drive, like some of the other top picks, like Gilchrist, Robinson, Miller, and Davis.

He also seems like a player who is not necessarily making his teammates better, while he is going to have really improve some aspects of his game, though.

But, this doesn't mean I wouldn't draft him, especially if he fell far enough to Houston. I would draft him in a heart beat over most of the players, outside of top 4 or 6. In fact, I think his ceiling is realistically in the top 4 to 7 small forwards in the league, maybe top 7 to 12 power forwards.

If I could have any pick:

    Fantasy Picks, Very Unlikely:
Andre Drummond, Thomas Robinson, Anthony Davis, Harrison Barnes, or Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

Probable, but just little bit out of our range (but if the Knicks don't improve, this becomes a very possible area of picks)
Perry Jones, Terence Ross, Meyers Leonard, Jeremy Lamb, Arnett Moultrie, and John Henson.

Very Possible (based on current position, we keep our pick if we don't fall out of the bottom 14):
(Big maybe, I feel like we don't need a point guard, unless he is just that exceptional, but if I had to pick one - Myck Kabongo or Kendall Marshall), Doron Lamb, Austin Rivers, Tyler Zeller, Tony Wroten, or William Buford.

    2nd Round picks:

Kris Joseph, Festus Ezeli, LeBryan Nash, Fab Melo, Augusto Lima, Will Barton, or Lucas Nogueira.

I wanted Marshon Brooks.. or whatever.. I don't get why we didnt take a chance on him if all signs pointed Kobe-lite or whatever.

I was hoping for Leonard last year, but the Rockets felt a tweener like Morris was the better option. If they weren't interested in Leonard himseld, they certainly won't be interested in him after drafting 2 3's in last years draft.

Been surprised by how low Doron Lamb seems to be on most boards. He's got a tweener stigma attached to him, but if he proves he can play the point, he could be the steal of the draft.

Tony Mitchell out of North Texas could be a huge sleeper too. Been keeping a close eye on him this year. He had problems with his grades early this year. Caused his stock to drop, but he's got the NBA body, speed, and skill. Had 30 and 17 playing the 3 yesterday.
