Lakers would be loath to give up an All Star big for a high-paid backup 2. I sure wouldn't mind the trade for our team.
I would like to see it, too. It will take a lot to get him and his rookie contract (reality Channing Frye would be packaged before Josh Childress) Scola, T-Will, Budinger, NYK pick, and the other 1/2 of the 2012 1st round pick ...for... Childress, Lopez, and Morris Phoenix Suns Trade Breakdown Change in Team Outlook: +13.5 ppg, +1.7 rpg, and +1.4 apg. plus one maybe two lottery picks Houston Rockets Trade Breakdown Change in Team Outlook: -13.5 ppg, -1.7 rpg, and -1.4 apg. I think Childress would be a "real asset"
4 Team Trade: Lakers: Dwight Howard, Jordan Hill, Goran Dragic, Michael Beasley, Hedo Magic: Andrew Bynum, Luis Scola, Ron Artest, Chase Bud, Luke Ridnour Wolves: Kevin Martin, Q-rich, Luke walton, $3million, lakers pick, rights to Sergio Llull Rockets: Pau Gasol, Anthony Randolph, Chris Duhon
The rights to Sergio Llull are actually worth a bit, especially if he kept Rubio in Minnesota. Scola/Martin/Dragic/Hill/Budinger/Llull for Gasol and Randolph and Duhon? No. Too much. Don't even know if Randolph is still gonna be a playa or a chump, albeit a chump with a lot more $$$$ than me. I need to quit criticizing and make my own trade for others to trash or ignore.
Yes and his contract runs for another 2 years (after this one). If Pierce is really on the block I wonder if he will draw any interest. It's becoming more and more apparent that the Rockets just need to weasel their way into a three way to try to steal some talent.
Scola, T-Will, Budinger, NYK pick, and the other 1/2 of the 2012 1st round pick ...for... Childress, Lopez, and Morris and Martin & Hill ...for... Okafor & Henry If all this happens than -Sign Greg Smith to a Parsons/Budinger type deal by cutting Flynn then leave him in D-league for the rest of season (even when this don't happens) -Trade SammyD while he is hot and has a team option (he is the same person that camped out in Sac.) for picks by trade deadline -Sign Lee to a Lowry type deal or trade for picks by trade deadline (I hope he will sign) -Trade Dragic for picks trade deadline (a high 2nd rounder would be perfect) -Give Childress anything he needs to be sucessful then trade him on draft night (should get something nice back) -Find a sign a Ish Smith type on an Ish Smith contract by cutting Thabeet (even when this don't happens only after the trade deadline) -Sign Lopez to a 4.5 to 5.5per over 3yr deal or part ways do - not over pay him Going forward Okafor/Lopez or Smith BigMorris/Patterson Parsons/Lil'Morris Lee/Henry Lowry/?Llull? plus a lot of picks Thought?
NJ trades Okur, Brooks for Scola, Hill, Lee, Bud PHO trades Lopez for Williams and 2nd rd '12 Lowry, Dragic, Flynn, Martin, Brooks Parsons, Morris Patterson, Okur, Adrien, Dalembert, Lopez, Thabeet the prize from the NJ trade is Brooks while taking on Okur's expiring contract. bring in a young center in Lopez while giving up Williams who can't find playing time here. then look to trade Martin in the offseason or draft night. expiring of Dragic, non-guarantee on Adrien, decline Flynn and Thabeet. combine our pick and NY's for Kentucky's MKG and bring over our Euro guys.
can you guys stop with all the dumb trade ideas, morey runs the game let him take care of that THANK YOU, .......
Boston trade - KG (Exp.Contract) + Boston 2012 1st round pick Houston trade - Scola, Martin & Bud helping Boston get in the 8th playoff spot, might make the NYK drop to the 9th, increasing the value of the NYK pick  our team won't make the playoffs without scola, martin & bud, but we get to keep our 2012 pick, plus we get another 1st round pick
If we can't make any big trades and we are in the thick of the playoff race, I see Morey trying to pick up a solid back-up big man. Preferably someone with a post game that will help shore up the bench. eg: kaman for thabeet, flynn, hill
That deal really doesn't help Boston. It makes them worse. The deal with Boston that would really help them compete would be Dally and Dragic there for junk plus Boston's 2012 first rounder, top 5 protected only. Adding Dally as their starting C beside Garnett gets their D back to top notch and Goran would be a good rotational piece for them off the bench, most likely pushing them above NY and back into prime contention in the East. This deal could be done and expanded upon at the trade deadline when it becomes obvious that we cannot make the playoffs and Morey finally convinces Les that we need to let the season go, maximize our lottery potential and concentrate on having as much cap space available for 2012 free agency as possible and still have a great team to add a couple max free agents to.
You can send dragic to magic, Duhon to la, ridnour to Houston if you want. I think it's pretty good. We don't give up picks.
