When it comes to schedule, the Lakers have zero excuse because they've had the easiest schedule in the NBA so far. How many teams have played 16 home games and only 6 away? The evening-out process is just beginning for them.

What I have been saying all along. Thanks.

Yeah too bad they suck and couldn't take advantage of the gift from stern. Im sure stern had them beating the kings early and the lowly clippers.. face it they are just not that good. With kobe jacking 20 to 30 shots a game he is proving he couldn't hold jordans jock if he tried. It's called 'TEAM'

Who have the beat this year ? an inconsistent denver team and memphis..and a struggling mavs team?? what a joke.

They are as solid as diarrhea

where's that run you were talking about OP?.. you mean that run down your legs?

They have had the most difficult schedule. They've played more games than anybody else. This is a compacted season. Say what you will. They'll be there at the end barring injury.

Chicago has played just as many games with more traveling for road games. Rose is injured. Lakers had most of their games at home. We don't see Rose making up excuses for his teammates. They just win. Kobe and company need to suck it up.

Facilitate a trade so the Lakers get Dwight and the Rockets?, LMAO. Glad Stern saved the Rockets/NBA.

Fakers now 1-6 on the road. Is it the schedule or do they just suck?

The Lakers will be watching at home in the end if they don't make some serious roster changes. They need a miracle. February is where their schedule bites. Hope they enjoy the travel.

It wasn't just about pau, but keeping cp3 and possibly Dwight from the Lakers. I still think Brown is good for them. They just need to trust in him and his defensive schemes. It all stars with Kobe.

also one of their road games that they lost was at staples where its not even a real road game-- sure there were more clipper fans this year than last year but there was till probably more lakers fans at that game and the lakers still use their own locker room and all for those "road games" so its pretty much a home game but different jersey.

the lakers will still be in the playoffs (thank god see them get the #1 pick as the 13th seed otherwise) but they have dropped off imo right now with odom and jackson being gone.

    It's funny.

In the last few years Lakers have always had the benefit of having a crap ton of home games at the beginning of the season.

Different story when you have to go on the road

^ doesn't have a clue whats going on.
They have the Grammys going on during February and they always have like 3-4 home games every year thats it so they have to have a unbalanced schedule early or later on. It always events out

the Lakers are terrible and if you couldn't see it at the beginning of the season you are denying how bad they lost last season to Dallas, then you forget to notice they lost their Hall Of Fame coach and made some of the most questionable roster moves during the off season.

quit making excuses- they certainly are NOT better than last year and they will NOT improve with this lineup. I have already come to their defense once when someone said they had an easy schedule.

it hasn't been easy. that's no excuse for an NBA team with at least 15 championships between the players on the roster.

that's because they sucked like they do now and traded for an All Star!
I think it is so funny how all Lakers fans qualify how they will be better "if and when" they make a trade, like it's inevitable or something.

    nice prediction

They are burdened right now with the Dwight Deron trade speculation. And frankly, I think there is a lot of truth to the Bucher rumor that Kobe is out to prove to Dwight that he's still got it. Hence, the overplay.

I am pretty sure that if the Lakers make a trade that they will be even better than this current roster, even if they have to unload both Bynum and Gasol to get either Dwight or Deron.

However, if this current team stays together, I still believe they will come out of the West. They're not playing to maximum potential but there is tremendous potential once they get everything balanced between the inside-outside game. A healthy Bynum makes this team superior to last year's team.
