If your guard cant make a wide open shot, your team will eventually suffer.... Just watch teams play off rondo

this game shows whats the future for the nba. dont forget dude is a rookie. and the way he handles is over whelming. he plays like a veteran. i have never seen somebody to pull off a win like that.

he reminds me of a poor man's Steve Nash with more size. I dont think Ricky is as good as a scorer/shooter as Nash but the passing and court vision is right there.

I dont think we can make an NBA comparison for this kid, we haven't had a PG in this league with that size and length, court vision and skills.

They were playing a team with no depth and their best player out. And he still got lit up by the other 2 PGs.

Btw I feel sorry for you if that's anywhere near the best comeback you've ever seen.

His most direct comparison is Jason Kidd.

I know he made a 3 but Nash is someone who shot 50% from the field, 40% 3s, 90% Free Throws, thats some unreal shooting efficiency I dont see Ricky doing that.

noo way, Jason Kid was much better on the fastbreak and he was a good finisher in his prime and had a pretty nice postgame. Much better defender too

I think that right now rubio's teammates are more responsible for his lack of "skills" at fast breaking.

Fair enough but J-Kidd was responsible for guys like Kerry Kittles, Mikki Moore, Richard Jefferson to have a solid playing career in NJ. Even though Ricky made Darko look like an all star tonight with 22 points (props for that), I dont think hes as lethal in the open court as J-Kidd was

Rubio is going to be a top 5 PG in the NBA for the majority of his career. He will never score much but I see in his prime routinely 14 PPG 11 APG 1 TO which is great for a PG. He has elite passing ability and he will always make his teammates better.
