if the knicks miss the playoffs and end up with 9-11 total worst record that would be awesome

Knicks keep losing. Eventually, they will drop out the 8th seed.

East is bad. Knicks 8th seed with losing record.

Houston and Dallas both with winning record, 9+ place.

They are bad. They are worse than the Celtics and Bucks, who are 9th and 10th. Keep piling on the losses and the Celtics and Bucks will pass them with a losing record.

Logic tells me that the knicks will figure it out and get 7th or 8th because it is nearly impossible to miss the playoffs in the EAST with melo and stat. I hope I'm wrong

That's interesting to hear. A 5 game losing streak must have a dramatic impact on prices. LOL I bet tommorrow's Nuggets tickets are even cheaper. Everybody is focused on the Giants.

As much as i love revelling in Knicks losses like the rest of you, i still have to remind everyone that it is still way too early in the season to really get too excited. They could start to turn the corner tomorrow. Plus, it is the East.

You have to hope for a re-energized Celtics team AND hope that Cleveland is actually a .500 team.

Those aren't great odds, my friend.

The Celtics are really f'ing us over right now.

If they were a playoff team, we could very easily end up with a top ten pick.

Allen and Rondo are having All-Star seasons too, this is very disappointing...

I don't think the Cavaliers need to be 0.500. The Cavaliers have a 0.429 current record and already have shot past the Knicks. The Knicks are only a 0.400 team, if just keep winning at the current pace . If they keep losing, they are under 0.400. The Celtics don't need to be reenergized to take over the Knicks. They have nearly the same record. The Celtics just need to win the game against the Wizards to tie the Knicks on Saturday night.

The good news is that New York has already amassed a ton of losses against horrible teams, while at home. You only get a certain number of home games. If you want to make the playoffs you need to win at home, especially against bad teams. You just can't give away home games like that. They have got to have one of the easiest schedules in the entire league thus far. To turn things around, they are going to need to win against good teams on the road. They certainly haven't come close to doing that yet. The schedule at some point has to get very brutal for them. To see them imploding this early on against teams they should beat, at home is just beautiful.

I don't necessarily think it ultimately rests on the Cavs keeping the Knicks out of the post season, although they have been impressive early on. I believe Boston will be in the postseason. The difficulty of their schedule compared to that of the the Knicks doesn't even come close to comparison thus far. I also think the Bucs have a legitimate shot. Their record thus far, to me doesn't seem to indicate the stature their team. Andrew Bogut has been out for a number of games early on he is the difference maker. Their level of competition has also been better the NY so far, and some of their losses have been very close. Hell, at the very least, they crushed New York tonight in MSG if that tells you anything. As it stands, Boston and Milwaukee are only a game away from New York right now.

I don't want to jinx anything, but I could easily see the Knicks at 9th in the east behind either Cleveland, Boston or Milwaukee when it is all said and done. For now, its remarkable that they have struggled so much with such an easy schedule. They can't seem to win against scrubs at home and things are about to get really difficult for them soon. Just beautiful.

Knicks could drop from 8th to 9th seed by next week. Currently, they have only half a game lead over Boston. Boston plays the Wizards next game. Knicks play the Nuggets next game.

Also, the Knicks only have two wins that could even be classified as "good". The opening day home win at Boston where they came back at the end and a home win vs the 76ers who were coming into game 3 of back-back-back.

    Hardly impressive lol.

Don't forget Pierce wasn't even in that game and it still went to the wire. Just like Curry wasn't in the game they dropped to Golden State.

Shorting the Knicks DOES carry with it a fiendish delight.

If a shot of healthy Baron Davis doesn't work(or one of the big guns go down) and these guys end up in the lottery, it will be interesting to see Stern's magic come time for the ping pong balls. Do we get the make up call for the nullified trade....6 - 9 ? ...or the NY screw job with them landing a top 5 pick? I think the former ....If the Knicks don't make it, I'm convinced Stern will fork over a high pick to us.
