I understand that. I have the same fear about Charlie Sheen becoming president and that's a far more likely scenario than the one you describe. Internet polls: WINNING.
Can anyone explain to me how many GP voters can rationalize being "family values" folks and supporting Newt, Mr. Open Marriage, who I assumes claims to be so concerned with abortion? How can they not view Newt as a hypocrite when he was having an affair with now wife Calixta while married to his second wife and night after night blasting Clinton for a blowjob? confused
This is interesting as well, Santorum got on Ron Paul for leaving it up to the states to force abortion laws as they see fit, look what Slick Rick said back in 03': SANTORUM: I've been very clear about that. The right to privacy is a right that was created in a law that set forth a (ban on) rights to limit individual passions. And I don't agree with that. So I would make the argument that with President, or Senator or Congressman or whoever Santorum, I would put it back to where it is, the democratic process. If New York doesn't want sodomy laws, if the people of New York want abortion, fine. I mean, I wouldn't agree with it, but that's their right. But I don't agree with the Supreme Court coming in. http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2003-04-23-santorum-excerpt_x.htm IS that not what Dr. Paul said?
lol I finally woke up and paid attention to what was going on. Sickening the way politics work. Poor Dr. Paul gets no tv time, you hear the crowd BOOING and groaning when they went to talk to Paul, but changed the question? Maybe if Paul had trash in his lifetime they could talk about, like grabbing the ass of a 22 year old at his son's graduation or fudged the numbers on the number of babies he delivered, maybe then he would get some people talking. We'll see what happens with the voting. Paul has 7 stops and speeches to make today before the big voting day. WSJ came out to say that Paul's economic plan would provide the biggest jump in job growth this country has ever seen. Crazy old man? Or a genius?

"Usually" where there is smoke there is fire. Admitting to his cheating, I think you have to give the "credibility" more to his wife then to him on this issue.
Right? John King could have shut him up with a simple follow-up. "Mr. Gingrich this would not be an issue save for you signing fealty pledges to the sanctity of marriage. Can you explain that?"
Ah yes, a 0% income tax would certainly increase jobs - that's just common sense. It would, of course, bankrupt government and cause a host of other problems, but I guess none of that matters.
I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure the plan with eliminating the income tax (which is unconstitutional, or something) is to just shift the tax burden elsewhere. Edit: I shouldn't say "shift it elsewhere", but rather "lessen the need for". I think a combination of the two would work.
According to his website: http://www.ronpaul2012.com/the-issues/taxes/ He just wants to eliminate the income & capital gains tax, and reduce taxes on Social Security. He uses the nice and vague "shrink government" to solve the deficit.
Sounds about par for the course for a campaign website. I wish every candidate had to fill this out and publish their results. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2010/11/13/weekinreview/deficits-graphic.html
The constitution doesn't require an income tax. It just allows for it with the 16th amendment. That being said, from Ron Paul's campaign website:
Anyone hear of the shadiness with the Iowa caucus? Apparently before the voting Paul was leading in the polls upwards of 50%, Iowa then says they will move the vote tabulation to a secret undisclosed location with no witnesses to be counted. lol

problems like our increasing national debt? oh wait, we already have 15 trillion dollar national debt.
I just started watching last night's debate, and after hearing Newt's response to the opening question, I am nearly speechless. What a freaking tool this guy is.
Really??? Well don't listen to the post-debate comments then. Everyone says he WON the SC primary off that answer alone lol
