his best all-around game this season. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/VGoWQsv4TdQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
He's a special player. And he would be the 3rd player in the Howard/Williams trifecta. Think about this for a moment. If Dwight walks away from Orlando and signs with the Nets in the offseason, the Nets can run out DWill Brooks lottery pick Dwight Humphries with Brooks Lopez, etc. still on the roster. IF....NJ signs Dwight, they are the favorites to come out of the East. They are set up and better balanced perimeter to interior, than Miami is. I'm not counting the Rox pick on this squad because without a major trade, the Rox are going to the lottery and will be keeping their pick. This is the single reason that I think Otis Smith is most likely to deal Dwight at the deadline. You can see that juggernaut coming a mile away. Otis knows if he deals Dwight, he can either weaken NJ significantly by jamming up their cap and getting possibly Marshon and Lopez back for him plus the draft pick or he could possibly force NJ to deal Deron to the West because Dwight has found his team in the West (Lakers or us most likely). All that aside, Marshon Brooks is going to be a special player. Watch NJ jerk around his minutes all season in an attempt to hold that team down so their lottery pick is as high as possible.
Wow, that is pure talent. The way he scores the ball you have to belive he will be a proven 20+ scorer in this league. And he doesn't really look all that fast or quick to me. But he has unbelievable offensive repertuar. I love his game, rookie of the year to me.
This kid plays like a 10-year veteran. I really love his poise and demeanor on the court. I've been saying since day 1, this kid's gonna be a star.
A lot of people saw that same potential, to be honest I was expecting our 14th pick to be Marshon Brooks (esp. since a lot of the draftboards had MM being gone by 14). What I really like about him in college was he blended both efficiency and creativity. Normally guys who create their own shot would be really inefficient (like Melo, AI etc.), but can both create shots and convert them with high efficiency. Guys like that tend to succeed immensely in the NBA (like KD). I wonder how the Jazz feel? At least in our defense we had Kmart, Lee and T-will at the sg spot. They just chose the wrong player, kinda' like how GSW passed on PP and picked that other dude last year.
Brooks, a pick, and Lopez for Howard and Turkoglu would be a fair deal. It wouldn't surprise me if that's what it ends up being. Then again, it is Otis Smith- I also wouldn't be shocked if the Magic's strong play convinces him to go for one last title run and keep Howard.
maroon5 could make a song about this kid "he got the moves like raper, he got the moves like raper, he got the moo-oooh-oohh-oohhh-oooohooohooohves like raper"
Exactly what I was going to say. Seems like he just intuitively 'gets' basketball in the way that Hasheem Thabeet, for example, does not.
