Well, if you like Obama they are. None of them can beat him, so we're going to be getting 4 more years of Obama. Anyone that thinks otherwise is delusional and merely kidding themselves. None of this batch of Republican candidates are electable.
The real Golden Rule (do unto others and you would have them do unto you) gets booed at GOP Primary debates in South Carolina. But as a Ron Paul fanatic, you probably already knew that given that he said the Golden Rule and he got booed.
Could ya'll PLEASE keep Perry in TX now!?!? thanks! signed, America And PS - as far as Newt is concerned; you know, yesterday he said he'd like to "see Sarah Palin" in his White House. Now I think we know in what capacity he meant.
This primary race went from dullest ever to fascinating overnight. There has been so much news in the last 24 hours it's almost unbelievable. And none of it points predictors in any clear direction (excepting, of course, the fact that everyone knows Paul will not be the nominee - suck it, ToyCen). Tonight's debate (not to mention the Marianne Gingrich interview - both in one night?!?!) will be of maximum interest. Though I almost always get a huge kick out of rehearsal I will have to watch both game-changing events on tape delay as I do most Rockets games. But there will a special spring in my step when I arrive home to watch TV tonight. And I imagine I will be up quite late tonight watching the pundits and reading about the implications. Heehee. Obama's numbers are rising, GOP stock is falling, there is no chance of a strong GOP nominee (if there ever was) and even the right track/wrong track numbers are improving marginally. This is a wonderful time to be a political junkie. Not to mention, a Democrat.
yeah but we haven't seen Obama threw a Alice in Onderland themed Holloween party and his wife loves going on vacations
Hell no. Vote Herman Cain. <iframe src="http://blip.tv/play/AYLn8HsC.html?p=1" width="480" height="300" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://a.blip.tv/api.swf#AYLn8HsC" style="display:none"></embed>
Here is what Im hoping: It's now a 4 man race. The dirt gets put out there about Newt, after the Florida hicks get sick of hearing about his open marriage requests, they give him the silent treatment and the day after the Florida primary, he drops out. It's now a 3 man race. Mitt, Santorum. and then Paul is the odd man out. Santorum and Mitt will keep throwing punches, pulling up dirty past from each other, while Paul is sitting there with a smile on his face. Fact is, it's a TWO MAN race here. Paul has already said there is so much to be said about Santorum that he hasn't said yet. Mitt's taxes will come back to bite him in the ass. I know a law is a law and a rule is a rule, but if Mitt releasing his taxes before the SC primaries would effect the voting, why isn't it a requirement? What if Paul or Santorum started a chant among the people in attendance a tthe debate: "Show your taxes! Show your taxes!" This could be the straw that breaks the camel's back (the camel that is dressed as a donkey) And then you have Paul, who has remained unchanged for the last 30-40 years. Woot.
Man Brother. That's awesome right there. You must have smoked some crazy stuff this morning. Good show!
Has this been posted yet? Santorum staffer says female presidents aren’t biblical Rick Santorum’s Iowa coalitions director wrote an email questioning whether female candidates should seek political office or the presidency. The message, sent from a private account and meant to be read by a friend, has surfaced in reports by Reuters and the Des Moines Register. The staffer, Jamie Johnson, wrote, ” The question then comes, ‘Is it God’s highest desire, that is, his biblically expressed will, … to have a woman rule the institutions of the family, the church, and the state?’ ” and went on to say that children’s lives could be harmed if America elected a female president. Johnson himself is a pastor. Michele Bachmann’s campaign recent claimed that the remarks are evidence of Santorum’s efforts to use sexism to defeat her in Iowa, where he ended up winning the caucus and she ended up doing poorly and dropping out of the race. From the Reuters story (h/t Christianity Today): The recent spat brings the issue of sexism in conservative politics to the fore again. When Bachmann ended her campaign, political observers wondered whether conservative perceptions of women and Bachmann’s own alignment with the Christian right and disavowal of feminism had been her undoing…. Despite the bad press, Santorum has not issued a response and Johnson is unapologetic. In an interview with NBC he said his ideas were based in “classical Christian doctrine.” “They were reflections on over 25 years of formal, theological study,” Johnson said. Some even implied that Bachmann’s ultimate demise was due to her running as a female, since many evangelicals follow “complementarian” teachings on male and female roles, where the man is meant to be the leader and the woman his helpmate. “I know of pastors who were supporting her before the [Aug. 13] straw poll, and then I saw pastors try to tell everybody when she was plummeting in the polls that we needed male leadership,” says the Des Moines-based, nationally-syndicated radio host Steve Deace, who is supporting former House Speaker Newt Gingrich for president. “She was trying to get elected as a woman,” Deace adds about Bachmann. “And I think in general people in both parties are more comfortable voting for men. Just ask Hillary Clinton.” http://blog.chron.com/rickperry/2012/01/santorum-staffer-says-female-presidents-arent-biblical/ My goodness! Sexism writ large. Sexism on display in a vivid, breathtaking way, and totally unapologetic. My sister, a Republican of 40+ years standing, will blow her stack when she hears this, and I'm going to enjoy it. What these fools don't understand is that there are many, and many Republican women, conservatives, who also support women's rights.
please just stop. I LOVE Paul but even I know he has no chance. Heck I think privately Paul would tell you he has no chance. He just wants to drive narrative so the GOP has to deal with those issues/topics. If he keeps up his decent showing he'll continue to debate and get screen time to push his issues. Trust me Paul is very happy about this.
I totally thought he would when he announced. I thought he had the right profile of executive experience, fiscally conservative, religious without being too religious, and the hair. I should have listened to the people who said he was a terrible campaigner. I'm glad to be wrong on that one.
Sorry, but I've got news for you: If Mitt, Newt and Rick all died of heart attacks tomorrow, Ron Paul still would not be the GOP nominee.
