Wow tell me about it losing to the Suns at home with all that talent. I think the Knicks should blow up that squad they have no chemistry, play no defense, and are a mediocre team at best. Good for the Rockets.

Yay to Carmelo Anthony! LMAO now I really feel sorry for NYC. They're like the uber hot girl who always ends up with the jerks. NYC might be the mecca of b-ball, but all the ones who want to go there seem to be the worthless "superstars".

I'm glad our pick is looking better for us but I don't understand why people are blaming Melo for their failure. Amare is shooting 42 percent at the 4 position with an eFg of 43 percent. That's down right turrible. Mr Pringles owes his career to Steve Nash. The guy can't coach at all.

Melo's making 30% of the capspace. He's a big reason why they can't get anybody else to help their team. Plus, look at how well Denver is doing with the stuff NYC traded to them. If they got Amare but kept all the other guys their record would be much better.

So what happens if NY dont make the playoffs, i can see milwauke, cleveland and NY fighting for the 8th spot assuming Boston sneaks in.

If NY dont make the playoffs does the lottery work in essence from worst record to best non playoff team record?

So if NY had the 10th worst record they would have the 10th pick in the draft with a certain small percentage chance to move into the top3 of the draft based on pingpongs?

Also if this is the case, if NY finished with like 29-37 in the 9th spot in the east, i can see them being 10-11th overall worst record. In which case unless NY got lucky and went to the top 7. We would be big winners?

Baron Davis can come and ruin it for us all.

Now if we start losing again this will be an exciting draft. ;)
The lottery picks are pretty promising this year, wouldn't mind trading some other guys for additional picks(K-Mart, Scola, Bud).

It seems to me that the west is down right dominating the East... even the crappy teams like the Kings are getting w's against decent East teams.

I think it has a lot to do with being at home or on the road.
A lot of teams are heavily relying on being at home for instance the Spurs...They dropped 5 road games until they won a close one ... winning 9 at home.

Melo is a ballstopper and one of the most selfish player in basketball. Amare was a beast in NY last year before Melo showed up and that was without Nash. The two players are just a horrible combination.

Kind of like that time in 2001 when we had the 13, 18th, and 23rd pick? I know its not the same as having 2 picks between 7-14 but its close.

Because he's the reason they don't have a PG or any depth whatsoever and he ****ed up their offense which was actually working well last season pre-trade...had he waited till the offseason to sign the Knicks wouldl be much better off.

I think the reason why they don't have a PG is because they amnestied Chauncey Billups to make room for Tyson Chandler.

Actually, this years failure are more to do with Amare. He wasn't beasting last year either, just took a lot of shots. Here's a good article that speaks on it:

Yep. And for those who think the Rockets can easily trade up into the top 5 picks: It took all of #13, #18 and #23 to move up to #7 in that draft to get Eddie Griffin (who I would probably say was the "Perry Jones" of his draft class at the time, although more of a headcase than Jones appears to be).
