I like the article but why did he say "quietly"? Dude has a GIF of a 360 teabag and got number 1 on reddit. That's not exactly quiet.

Parson at NO 10 in NBA's Rookie Lader

Nice to see him gettin some recognition.
I saw yesterday's top 10 plays with him at no. 4 and the comentator said someting like "come on editing team, how'd you miss him dunking on McGee?" It's nice!
Here's the quote from the Rookie Ladder:

I think he's a better Shane Battier. Less defense but still better overall. Not bad at all, and a great compliment to our current starting lineup.

Yeah! That's exactly what my thoughts are. We have Dalambert, Lowry and now Parson with above average defense(IMO), and martin and scola which are just awful. Overall they complement each other...

Are you talking about current Shane Battier? In which case yes.

Other than dunking he doesn't do anything better than prime Shane Battier. But he is a rookie and the future is bright.

Shane Battier a few years ago was the best role player you could find. Elite level defense and a consistent 3 point shot. To say Chandler Parsons is better than Shane Battier is just silly.

Your post is perfectly fine. Some people just like to get their rocks off with the perception of power on the internet.

I'm one of the more excited poster on this board about Parsons, but to say that he's better than Shane Battier right now is just going overboard. He has the potential to be better than Battier, but it's not a guarantee. He needs to concentrate on shooting this summer and be more comfortable attacking the basket. If he does all these things, while maintaining his defensive presence, then he can be a better player.
